...and how this world truly began."
Before the Creation of our world, there was another. From that plane, that Sacred Realm, ascended the first Goddesses: Din, Farore, and Nayru. And from it, was born the world as we know it now. In those early days, magic still spilled into the world and the people from who the Goddesses had ascended from came to see what would be Hyrule. For its bounty, and its strife.
A war over took the land, the first sealing binding back a darkness that had followed. The people of the Goddesses returned to their realm before they would be lost to this one. And yet, a trace of their lineage remained here.
Hylia, always youthful and ready for adventure, was born of this realm from the sire of another. Reechka, eternally of another reality remained in curiosity of what it would become. And to guide the youngest of their kin.
The tale of Creation is from there true. Din created the red earth. Nayru created science and magic, giving order to the world. Farore then created all life on the world. They left in the end after leaving the Triforce in Hylia's protection before they two receded to their own land. Hylia vowed to guard the relic with her life, not quite of either kin.
To guide the child of both worlds, Reechka remained, watching from the shadows. Hylia was loved by the people of this new world. She protected them the best she could, but even the Goddesses could not foresee the mishap that occurred.
First, in silence, a dark power began creating monsters. The evil's mind was wicked and bent on commanding this world. Thus, he began his quest to seize the Triforce from Hylia.
Before long, this evil was consumed. When he reached the steps of Hylia's temple, he found a lone warrior standing on the step. A slender blade hung across the warrior's hip, their hand resting on the hilt. The evil stopped and looked at the warrior, laughing to himself.
A hood over the warrior's head, they asked, "Who are you, to approach the temple of Hylia, with such ill will in your heart?"
The darkness stopped, curious how this warrior had pierced his mind to easily. Still, he continued forward. The warrior's words stopped him again, "Your ambition will be your ultimate demise. Take another step towards this place and you will understand my words."
"And who threatens me so openly?" the evil asked.
In the rise of this power, Hylia had not been idle. As her duties drove her to protect Hyrule and the Triforce, she bid her mentor discover a way to turn the tides. And Reeckha had.
The hood fell back. In all Her glory, Reechka stood, newly ascended. Her sword shone as She drew it, no finer piece crafted at the time to compare it to. She commanded clearly, "You know who I am already." With that, She drove Her sword forward into battle faster than any mortal could defend against. The explosion of magic was so great, it permanently transformed the evil into a monster. A white scar ran down his forehead.
But the demon was not the only one defeated. Reechka was forced to retreat from the battle, so newly tempered by Her powers. Reechka went to Her sister and told Her Demise's intent.
Reechka told Her student she must do away with this threat or Her people would see no end to his terror, that She would leave the secret to ascension behind so that Hylia might achieve the same power, but that She could not speak it now, the call of another plane pulling Her too strongly. Hylia promised her Mentor she would not allow Demise to gain the Triforce. Convinced that Hylia would let no harm come to her people, Reechka left the war in Hylia's hands so that She may heal from Her battle with Demise and truly achieve Her position among the stars.
Even before Hylia joined the ranks of the war, Hylia's people vowed to defend Her land with their lives. The humans were led by a tall knight of their realm, and when Hylia approached their army for the first time, he did not fear Her.
It was this knight whom Hylia decided to put Her faith into. She crafted a blade, its hilt purple in honor of her mentor, and gave it to the knight. She asked him to travel to the Goddesses' shrines and bath it in the fire of Their temples. The knight traveled with the divine blade, and thus the Master Sword was forged.
When at last the blade was done with its pilgrimage, the knight returned it to Hylia. Using it, she cut the earth with the blade so that the human kingdom would survive, and her knight for his service. But she found that he had fallen in battle, the task too much for even a warrior of his skill. In love with him, Hylia was at a loss. In her pain, she did what only seemed right to her.
The blade she sent to the humans in the sky. Then, with the rest of Her divine power, she set about ensuring that the knight would one day regain that sword. And that she would be there to guide him.
Her power lessened, she went to face Demise. She imprisoned him, but she knew he would escape one day. And she and her Hero would be waiting to fight him then. With that thought, Hylia pursued the gift her mentor had left behind. To achieve ascension would gift her the time to plan. But how her soul would be intwined with her creations she could not foresee. Hylia did ascend, but not as a Golden Goddess, as something else, bound to this world, Her world, ever protecting it, but never quite enough power to save it.
Reechka soon recovered from Her wounds, or soon to the endless flow of time as the Divine see it. With that, Reechka became a Golden Goddess as well. In Her hand as She came to know Her new being sat a bright orb of radiant light. From it came the same kind of energy that each piece of the Triforce possessed, four as the whole Light Force, this lone Radiant Light Her piece.
The three Golden Goddesses returned to Their world to see this change in the order of the world. Reechka was there to greet Them. Without much thought, Din accused Reechka of stealing power to become more powerful than Them. She said Reechka must be punished for this action.
Reechka, still morning from the loss of Hylia, the ascension that would never truly be, was taking aback. She tried to explain the events as She had observed them, as She had lived them, but Din would not allow a word. And the others of Her now kin would not see reason.
Finally, after eons of fighting, Din determined that the right punishment for Reechka would be banishment. All three of the Goddesses sent Reechka into exile from the land now known as Hyrule. The Triforce remained, but the lost of the power weakened the fabric of reality without protection from all its protectors.
When Reechka left, time weakened and splintered under the Cycle. The Goddesses tried to control the path the Hero would take, but Their plans where not followed. Time split into three courses. The Goddesses no longer knew what to do, and struggled to ensure that the Hero would keep the returning versions of Demise from fully recovering.
Reechka saw the Hero many times. She thought at first to punish him, for his obedience only to the three Goddesses he knew about. But She remembered the love Her trapped student, Her now partial Sister, had for him and could not. She helped him in his ventures to Holodrum, to Labrynna, to Termina, and to many farther places in the world, and ensured his safe return to Hyrule when She could.
In Their struggle to keep Demise at bay, the Goddesses' spell weakened to keep Reechka exiled. They forgot Her over the eons, and did not worry about restoring it. Or perhaps They finally saw reason in restoring Her pillar to Their world.
Reechka did, and slowly, She returned to Hyrule. Once She came back, time began to heal, has continued to heal. Reechka could no longer be exiled. The Goddesses dared not try it again, not against the fates that had written against it. The Cycle had returned, a babe had been born with a Triforce on the back of their hand. They bore the mark of Reechka.
As had come to pass time and time again, it meant Demise had returned once more to Hyrule...
