...and up the steps to the final level of the dungeon. Rain pelted down onto the stone slab of a roof. A bolt of lightening struck beyond the building's edge, and another thunder clap deafened Link for a moment.

In the middle of the storm, untouched by the dark magic that brewed it, floated the Medallion of the Spirit Sage. It shimmered in the lightening for a moment, a bright orange color.

"This seems too simple," Endeavor muttered, both her sword and knife drawn.

"What if it is just this easy though?" Dabir asked, walking forward. He took the medallion from where it was suspended in the air. "What do we need to do to purge this place then?"

"Summon the Sage's Dragon," Link answered, having seen this happen three times before.

Journey loped up to Dabir as Yore swooped down from above them. The wolf quickly took the medallion from Dabir's hand and the two went off towards the edge of the building. Flames began to wrap around the two of them. Journey's back legs curled in as a long tail spread out as two large wings extended from Yore. With one mighty flap, the converged animals took flight.

And like that, they were struck down.

Surprisingly though, the attack was from below. Like a vaporeal claw, the bolt slammed the dragon back onto the roof, before the beast went tumbling off the building.

Endeavor rushed forward. "No!" she shouted as her two companions fell off. Daniel and Link had to hold the Drex back from jumping over to try and catch them.

The form that rose back wasn't Journey and Yore. You didn't need any training in spirit magic to determine that. A familiar voice cackled at them. Bahadur's cry pierced the storm, "You think me defeated so easily? Fools! You will perish for your insolence!"

Dabir roared, with a force surprising of his personality, "That medallion belongs to the Spirit Sage. Return it to me!"

"Ha! You, a sage? You're a cowering weakling who should have stayed in his cell," Bahadur returned, turning the dragon towards them. "Now, I will take these meddlesome creatures to the Dark World and end this restoration attempt you have."

The great wings on the dragon opened wide and with a mighty flap the beast took off. The dragon flew off across the desert towards the speck that stood on the horizon marking Fort Lanayru.

"We have to stop her!" Endeavor shouted.

"How?" Dabir asked. "We can't ground it to fight it, much less catch up with it."

Link tightened his grip on his whip. Journey and Yore may have not been his companions, but he cared about the two pets of Endeavor. Without thinking, he raced forward to the edge of the temple. Rain pelted down on his back and the wind whipped his turban.

       "Hero!"

Turning back, Link was lifted off the platform by a red blur. He grabbed something, before righting himself on the back of a great red bird.

       "Shade!" Link exclaimed.

"Hylia sent me," the Loftwing explained, coasting through the storm. "If that dragon reaches the gate to the Dark World, the Spirit Sage's power will be corrupted beyond repair. We must catch them."

       "What's your plan?" Link asked.

Shade answered, "Ground the dragon. Your allies should be following quickly on horseback. If we sever the connection Bahadur has on the dragon, then the creature may be able to complete the ritual and purify the land and destroy that ghost once and for all."
