Chapter 53

Noah's pov
I walk upstairs to see Richelle. I knock on her door.
"Who is it?" She asks.
"Noah." I say.
"Go away." She says.
I open the door and walk in.
"I said go away." She says.
"Why are you being like this?" I ask.
"Being like what?" She asks.
"You act as if you hate me." I say.
"Well then maybe you shouldn't be in love with Abi." She says.
"What?" I ask.
"Abi came to the door today. She said that when you hugged, you said you loved her. Then I got a text from Skylar saying that you said you loved Abi." She says and a tear goes down her face.
"Richelle, I swear on my life that I don't love Abi." I say.
"Then why would my best friend send me a text saying that you do?" She asks.
"I honestly don't know." I say.
"Just go." She says.
"Richelle please. I love you. If we break up, I don't think that I could live with myself." I say.
She looks at her hand.
"You really mean it?" She asks and looks back at me.
"Of course I do." I say.
"Noah I'm sorry." She says.
"It's not your fault." I say and hug her.
"Thanks for saving me from the dogs." She says.
"I wish I'd got there sooner so your hand wasn't injured." I say.
She gasps.
"What?" I ask.
"We have our duet at the competition tomorrow." She says.
"Oh shi-mmmans." I say, trying not to swear.
"I can't compete at a high level competition after what just happened." I say.
"I'll be your new partner." We hear a voice say.
I look and see Abi.
"Get out of my house!" Richelle yells.
Abi looks at me and pouts.
"No and get out." I say.
"Ugh fine." She says and leaves.
"How did she even get in here?" Richelle asks.
"I don't know." I say.
"Maybe I'll be fine for tomorrow." Richelle says.
"Maybe. It's worth a try." I say.
"Yeah, I'll just put gloves on to hide the bandage." Richelle says.
"Yeah!" I say.
She smiles at me.
"Richelle, how did you end up getting attacked by dogs?" I ask.
"Well I kept running until I had no idea where I was. Then out of nowhere, a dog came and then another. Before I knew it, I was on the ground screaming because my hand was bleeding and I was in so much pain. Then you came and saved me." She says.
"Richelle I'm so sorry that happened to you." I say and hug her.
"How about we make a deal. If Abi says something like you said you love her then we won't believe it and not get into an argument." She says.
"Yeah that sounds good." I say.
"Awesome." She says and we hug.
