Chapter 20 - A Night to Remember (part I)
Cedric Madrigal's POV
Flabbergasted. Surprised. Astonished. Clearly didn't have ever imagined I'd hear her say that, NOW. Yeah, I'm greatly confident she's gonna fall inlove with me but I really didn't expect this now. Okay, I am over reacting, didn't I? She just said she THINKS she likes me, no biggie. YES! I mean no, WHAT SHE SAID was a biggie.
"Hoy okay ka lang?" she asked waving a hand at my face. Dahan dahan akong lumabas ng gate, not taking my gaze off of her.
"What do you mean by that? Tayo na?"I trailed but her eyes widened a little as she tilt her head sideways.
"No! I mean, not yet... jusko what have I done." yumuko s'ya. NO! Hindi s'ya pwedeng magsisisi na she told me something like that. That's a big thing for me and for me, that is something that can keep me happy for the rest of the year.
I patted her at the top of her head then pulled her towards me. Sinalubong ko s'ya ng isang mahigpit na yakap. Mahigpit, puno ng pagmamahal, puno ng kasiyahan... She made me happy. She really did make me happy. Ang sarap ng feeling na yakap yakap ko 'to. 'Tong babaeng mahal ko. Grabe, I'm turning into a romantic-ass ready to do some romantic shits for my girl.
Feels good calling her my girl, hehe.
I pulled back. "That's fine, sa ngayon, okay na sa 'kin 'yon." Ginulo ko 'yung buhok niya at muli ko s'yang nginitian. "Halika ihahatid na kita."
"Wow ha, change of heart? Kanina lang papasok ka na ng bahay ah?" she joked.
"Lahat ng bagay pwedeng magbago sa isang segundo."
"Sabi mo eh. Pero ayoko pang umuwi eh."
"Sasamahan kitang maglakad lakad, then."
'Di pa kami nakakalayo sa gate ng bahay namin no'ng nakasalubong namin si Dad na nakasakay sa truck n'ya, Ford Ranger. Astig talaga ng bagong kotse ni Dad.
"Kids! Where are you going?" Dad shouted at us after he rolled the window down.
"Ihahatid ko lang si Keish, Dad." I told him.
"Goodevening, tito." greeted Keish that my Dad acknowledge with a smile.
Bumaba si Dad sa truck ng nakangiti, he gave me the keys and I stared him, asking. He just smiled at me and patted my shoulder. I shrugged, then. A little too obvious na pinapahiram n'ya sa 'kin 'yung truck. I smiled playfully at lumingon kay Dad.
"Thanks, Dad!" I told him in a cheerful tone.
"Trust me date's better if you get some blankets and pillows first." He winked at me then entered the house.
"Ayaw mo pa ba talaga umuwi?" I asked Keisha, smiling goofily.
"Anong pinaplano mo?" She asked me, an eyebrow raised. Kinindatan ko s'ya, the sexy one that made her cheeks flush red. I like the way my wink affects her. My girl's cute as fuck.
"Ayaw mo pa naman 'diba? Might as well enjoy the night with me. Go inside the car and wait for me, just a sec." I instructed her then shot myself to the house to get some blankets and pillows as Dad told me a while ago.
This will be a long night.
WE SPENT AN HOUR driving on the city. Talking about random things. Smiling like fools, enjoying the fuck out of this night.
"Yes! Wish you were there! Kung nakita mo lang kung pa'no mamula si Benj at the mention of Dannah's name!" kwento ko sa kanya and the I laughed, remembering how red Benj's face was that day.
