^^ Lucas Rivers
Chapter 1
Luke's POV:
"Hey Jordie." I smiled pouring some water into our dogs' dish. Blue passed away about a year ago at the age of fifteen. Jordie was our black husky with pale ice coloured eyes.
"Good morning Lukey." My mom said grabbing my face and crunching it up. My mom was twenty-one when she had me. Making her thirty-eight now while my dad was in his early forties.
Let's just say I didn't bring my guy friends over because they called my mom a milf all the time.
"Morning." I said grabbing my keys off the table.
"Trying to leave without us?" Eric asked sweetly. Ethan stood next to him with his arms crossed followed by Sophia behind them. Eric and Ethan were my younger brothers. They were twins in grade ten while Sophia is in grade nine.
"How could I leave without you guys?" I smirked sarcastically.
"Where is Ace?" My mom asked looking down the hall. As she said that our dad stepped out fixing the sleeves to his black dress shirt.
"Good morning, doll face." He said kissing her. Our parents were so in love it was sickening sometimes.
"Gross, dude." Ethan said shielding his eyes. I grabbed the keys to my jeep and grabbed my empty bag.
"Let's go kiddies." I said walking down the hall.
"Bye babies! Mommy loves you all!" Mom called.
"Bye mom!" Eric waved as I held open the door. They walked to my jeep as I met eyes with my mom.
"Bye Lukey." She said and I waved.
"Bye mom." I said closing the door.
------
I was met by my best friend at school. Eric and Ethan went off along with Sophia as Briana smiled at me.
"Bri Bri." I said and she smiled.
"How's it hangin'?" She asked. Briana was your definition of a tom boy. She rode her truck to school and all throughout she had her long board riding down the hall ways. Her long brown hair was either up in a ponytail or down her back, and she either wore hoodies or plain white t-shirts with jeans or baggy shorts.
She has been my best friend for seventeen years- literally I have been with her since I came out of the womb.
"Did you do Kostka's homework?" She asked and I gave her a sideways smirk.
"Have you seen my bag? I don't bring home books." I said lightly biting onto my lip ring. She folded her arms over her grey lacrosse hoodie and laughed.
"You are one of a kind Lukey." She said tossing her board in the back of my car.
"No board today?"
"Nah coach says if I get one more warning this week I don't play Friday." She shrugged. We continued walking towards the school when we were met by Logan, he was my uncles' kid. Well he wasn't really my uncle, his dad and my dad have been best friends for ages.
"Log." I said hitting his fist.
"Luke." He smirked. Logan and his twin sister Cameron were a year younger than us but my aunt Ana was really into schooling them so they skipped a grade. They were only sixteen but were taking advanced grade twelve classes.
"Where's Cammy?" Briana asked.
"She went with Joey to get something from the cafe for breakfast." Joey was Briana's younger brother.
"Alright. We're heading to Kostka's class. See ya next period?" She asked and he nodded walking in the opposite direction.
We went to our lockers that were side by side and I grabbed a single notebook and tucked it under my arm.
"You know Kostka is giving us presentation groups today, right?" She asked with a smirk and I rolled my eyes.
"Fuck." I sighed and she tossed her head back and laughed.
"Maybe McKinnon will be in your group?" She teased walking ahead. I pulled off my hat and ran my fingers through my hair before tossing it into my locker.
-------
"Alright so as I said yesterday, you all are getting your groups today." Kostka said scribbling names onto the board. I watched intently as he wrote different groups onto the board and finally my name was under group four.
"Lucas Rivers, Briana Donaldson and...Violet McKinnon." Briana whispered while winking at me. I swear to God, tell Briana you think someone is hot then it is game over.
"Alright so I don't have a lesson plan so get into your groups and keep the noise down." He ordered. Briana and I sat at the back while Violet sat at the front.
She brought her chair back and sat down in front of me with a smile on her face.
"Hi, I don't think we have officially met. I'm Violet." She said.
"Briana."
"Luke." I said staring her down hoping to get a reaction out of her but all she did was laugh slightly and flick her hair back.
"Nice to meet you guys."
