Chapter 14

Violet's POV:

"So, what did ya think?" Jeff asked as he came to the parking lot. His hair was wet from showering and he ran his hand through it.

"I don't know I think I could take you." I smirked.

"Alright I do not want to witness flirting and all that because I am not a third wheeler so let's go." Briana said opening the door to her car.

"You know how to get there?" He asked leaning down on the window.

"I know how to work a navigation system." I laughed.

"Just checking. I'll see you in a few." He said walking away.

"Such a lost puppy." Briana commented as we drove out of the parking lot.

"Oh let me have fun." I muttered.

--------

"Wow so we know that daddy makes bank." Briana said referring to Jeff's house. Numerous people were running around the front yard in bathing suits or their underwear and I sighed. I wasn't much for parties but I guess I should let loose with my broken arm and all.

"Time to bag a rich academy kid that is classy AF." Briana said walking up the lawn. I followed after her and she opened the door to the slightly crowded house. Mostly everyone was outside in his awesome backyard so that's why it wasn't as crowded in here.

I had a regular sized house with two garages instead of four, along with a shitty backyard.

"Jeffy boy." Briana said patting his shoulder.

"Donaldson." He chuckled.

"And who are your lovely friends?" She grinned.

"Trent and Preston." He laughed his eyes catching mine briefly.

"Boys, I'm Briana Donaldson, lacrosse all-star; where are the drinks." She said walking past. Trent immediately followed her as Preston patted Jeff's back and walked away.

"So nice house." I said and he shook his head.

"Thanks, I think it's a bit too big."

"For all this land? You have to have a big house. What else would you put?" I asked.

"You're right, maybe I should start growing my own food." He laughed.

"Of course, some tomatoes, pumpkins." I giggled.

"Oh before I forget." He said reaching in to his back pocket. He pulled out a black sharpie and I smiled.

"Are you going to be my new tattoo artist?" I asked.

"New?" He asked and I smiled taking his hand.

"It's a nice night." I said walking outside. He had a rocking table with benches and I sat down placing my arm on the table. He sat next to me and I lifted my short sleeve to reveal the covered tattoo's.

"Woah." He said surprised.

"They are mostly tribal patterns and flowers in black and grey and I have one coloured rose for my mom."

"Do you want a full sleeve?" He asked carefully grabbing my arm.

"I do. My parents would call me flower when I was little so that's why most of the sleeve will be flowers."

"Why did they call you that?" He asked as he began drawing on the pink cast.

"My dad always said I was his precious little flower and my moms' name is Rose and where she has lung cancer I got a rose and her name on a banner under it." I explained.

"How is she doing?" He asked.

"It's an early stage and my brother is holding it off the best he can." I said.

"I'm sorry, Vi." He said quietly as I leaned my chin on my hand.

"It's uncontrollable what's done is done, right? But thank you."

A few minutes later Preston came back with a beer for Jeff and a can of pop for me. Jeff and I talked about each others' schools and our families and he made me laugh and forget about what was in the back of my head.

What was in the back of my head?

Well it is a boy named Lucas.
