Chapter 24

Eric's POV:

Game day.

Not only was it game day but it was the day that Chase would meet my parents. Word must have gotten to a couple of people because they looked at me funny, but I couldn't care. I faced my stall listening to music and putting on my black compression long sleeve. Ethan was right next to me doing the same thing except his compression shirt was white. I pulled on my chest protector and my jersey while doing up my pants. Our school colours were dark blue and black so our pants were black and our jerseys were blue.

I was starting today due to Logan's arm being sore, coach wanted him to rest up because college scouts were watching him.

"So Chase is coming for dinner tonight?" Ethan asked me as I pulled on my helmet.

"Uh...yea." I said nervously.

"Don't be nervous dude." He said patting my shoulder.

"Have you ever had a girl watch your game?" I asked and that cocky smirk appeared on my brothers face.

"All the girls in the stands come to watch me."

"No a serious girl that you are trying to impress?"

"No not really." He admitted and I sighed slumping in my chair.

"Chase is watching and I don't want to fuck up."

"You won't just do your thing, brotha." He smiled while hitting my fist.

Chase's POV:

"So am I hearing this correctly? You're dating my brother?" Eric's brother Luke asked. He narrowed his eyes at me and studied my face.

"Uh y-yea..." I said nervously. He bit his lip ring and nodded.

"Alright, I'm watching you Maverick."

"Oh look there is Sam!" Sophia squealed. Luke's brows furrowed instantly and his lip curled up in disgust.

"Why are you excited?"

"Oh Luke he is so hot, a senior and he plays football all the grade nine girls love him." She said dazed.

"And you realize he has made fun of Eric numerous times?" Luke asked.

"I know but he knows my name. He knows my flippin' name."

"Yea and you are in grade nine! He's a senior!" Luke exclaimed.

"Oh Lukey it is just three years, and there are so many love stories of the hot senior falling in love with the innocent freshman." She sighed dazed.

"Sweet Jesus." Luke whispered placing his head in his hands. I turned back to the game as number twenty-four walked onto the field. Ethan was number forty-two and he walked next to Eric and they hit fists.

They were on offence and the ball was tossed back to Eric. He looked around before sending a spiral to his twin brother who ran down the field and into the end zone.

"Fuck that was fast." I whispered clapping.

"Oh yea, Eric and Ethan are unstoppable. Ethan believes they have twin telepathy; they always know where each other is, they feel each other's emotions kind of...it's weird." He explained.

"So why doesn't the coach put Eric in as first string?"

"Because Logan skipped a grade and he is being scouted by the state university. Next year Eric will be first string."

"I see and where does Eric want to go?"

"Yale is not too far and they are both smart enough to get in."

"Really? That's convenient." I chuckled.

"Why?" He asked raising an eyebrow.

"I'm looking at a scholarship for Yale."

"Well don't get any ideas, Maverick." He warned.

"You know he can't get pregnant, right?" I asked making sure and he curled his lip up.

"Dude I know, I'm still not used to this whole thing."

"Why?" I asked curiously.

"I don't know I always just looked at them two as cocky superstars who had girls crawling all over them. Eric never shown any signs of being uncomfortable but I'm guessing he was, and now that it is official I am just getting used to the whole idea."

"I see." I said.

"Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for you two, you seem to make my baby bro happy so if he is happy then I am happy."

"If you are nervous about me hurting him, I wouldn't." I assured.

"I know that, but just a question what about marriage or family?" He asked.

"If he wants to get married one day to me or anyone then it is legal and it will be normal just like any other wedding, just instead of a groom and a bride it will be two grooms wearing suits." He nodded and furrowed his brows for a second.

"So he will still experience the whole marriage thing? I'm sorry I'm just new to this and I'm curious." He apologized.

"It's totally fine, dude. I don't mind." I brushed off.

"As for kids, we can always adopt or look for a surrogate or something." I shrugged.

"You know I would never have guessed you were into guys." He said honestly.

"Why? Because I'm not sporting pink? Don't stereotype, Luke." I teased.

"No, no I'm just saying like I don't get that vibe from you, you seem badass and tough- I don't even know what I'm saying." He laughed shaking his head.

"When Eric and I were hanging out in my basement all we did was play video games and watched movies we hang out like friends." He nodded turning back to the game and I smirked.

"Bros that like to make out." I added and he looked over at me.

"Dude..." He said and I chuckled.

"It's true. He's good at it too." I added.
