Luke's POV:

"Why are you shaking?" Ethan asked while nudging my leg. Someone placed their hand on my knee and I looked over to see Rose- Violet's mother. Zach sat next to Rose with her oxygen tank next to her.

"Don't worry, Lucas. Everything will be fine." She assured.

"Dude if she rejects you...oh man." He smirked not even finishing the sentence.

"You're horrible." Harlow whispered.

"Graduating with a BA in English...Violet McKinnon." The Dean said. Violet walked on stage with a huge smile on her face. She accepted her diploma and walked off stage. I had bought her flowers and I had gotten her another surprise which was at home.

"Oh I am so proud of her." My mom smiled while clapping.

We met her outside and she took off her cap and fluffed out her hair.

"God do I have hat hair?" She chuckled.

"Oh baby you look fine." Her mom said softly. She had a bandana on under her sun hat and Zach pushed her wheel chair.

"Thanks mom, you shouldn't have come it's so warm and muggy out." She said worriedly.

"Oh my little flower don't worry." She assured. We stood near a tree to take pictures in front of. I waited to go last because my mom was going to take pictures and Harlow was going to tape the whole thing.

I straightened out my suit jacket and wrapped my arm around her waist and pulled her close to me.

"So did you buy roses for yourself or...?" She teased and I looked down at the white roses I had bought her.

"Oh shit, sorry baby girl." I laughed handing her the pink coloured bouquet with the white roses inside.

"Thanks." She said planting a kiss to my cheek.

"Daddy." She whispered in my ear. My jaw tightened and I blinked once and she began laughing. After numerous pictures she sighed wiping her forehead.

"Is that enough? I could go for some frozen yogurt." She said. I nodded to my mom and Harlow and they both smiled. Briana's family came to watch as I went into my pocket to grab the velvet box.

I took a deep breath and got down on one knee and she gasped.

"What are you doing!?" She exclaimed and I chuckled pulling open the small box.

"Vi, baby I love you so much. I have been hooked on you since grade seven and I can't picture spending the rest of my life with any other girl but you. You make me so happy and I don't see any other girl besides you. Will you please marry me baby girl?" I pleaded as her hands covered her mouth.

"Oh my God!" She said still surprised.

"What a dork." Briana teased.

"Why?" She asked desperately.

"I just told you why!" I laughed as did everyone else.

"Oh my God okay! Okay!" She said while jumping back and forth. She pulled out the ring and I slid it on her finger for her. Many other people began clapping as I hugged her tightly.

"I love you so much, baby girl." I said into her hair. She pulled back wiping under her eyes.

"Aww I'm so happy." She cried.

"Why are you crying?" I chuckled wiping her tears.

"I don't know. I'm a mess." She laughed.

"Luke this ring is huge." She gaped.

"Big and beautiful for my girl." I assured.

"It's even pink I can't believe that." She said smiling while admiring the huge rock on her finger.

"Oh baby I am so happy." Her mom breathed.

"Speaking of which, I better get the happy lady back. She has your graduation gift in her room." Zach said.

"Okay, I will visit you tonight." Violet said kissing her mothers' cheek.

"I will see you for dinner." She said while going with Zach and his girlfriend.

"Oh didn't I tell you guys that you would get married?" My mom clapped while hopping back and forth.

"Calm down, doll." My dad chuckled.

"Oh shush, baby cakes my little pumpkin is engaged!" She squealed pinching my cheeks.

"You're going to embarrass the poor boy, Storm." My uncle Brandon chided.

"It's my job." She said.
