Violet's POV:

My mother was given three months to live, according to Zach her body has deteriorated so much that she can barely hold on anymore.

So needless to say, I wanted my mom to see me get married before she...you know.

So my dearest lover Lucas was able to push the wedding closer so that my mom would be allowed to attend.

Now we stood in a dress store. Zach was here with his new girlfriend, Gina, my mom was here in her wheelchair, Storm was present as was Paige, Harlow, Sophia and a very pregnant Briana and Luke's grandmother.

"I don't want something tight." I sighed while flipping through the bags. I wanted something princess-y and pretty.

"I want to feel beautiful." I said.

"My girl you are beautiful." My mom whispered taking my hand. Her hands were always so cold. She had on a hat and a sweater because she was always cold.

"Thanks mom." I smiled.

I went into the dressing room and slipped on the first dress.

"I feel like I'm wearing toilet paper." I said gesturing to the mesh looking ruffles. A big bow was on the waist along with a big ugly strap on my left shoulder. I walked out with a big frown on my face.

"You look like an idiot." Briana said right away.

"Thanks Bri." I laughed. I immediately walked back into the room and changed into a dress with the skirt literally made out of feathers.

"I'm officially a seagull." I said stepping out.

"I like birds." Paige chirped.

"Of course you do book." Briana chuckled.

I went back into the room and sighed while sitting down. None of these dresses were worth my time, I just couldn't find the right one.

"Okay, don't worry we will find you a dress." The saleswoman assured.

"I need a dress like today, my wedding got moved up because my mother is really sick." I said suddenly feeling my eyes begin to water.

"Okay would you be against something with colour?" She asked.

"At this point I don't care." I laughed.

She left for a few minutes and came back shortly with a ball gown. The bottom part had flowers etched into the material that were pink.

"I love pink and flowers." I smiled.

"I figured considering all the flower tattoos." She said.

She did up the back and smiled. The bottom part of the gown did not look like a bird or toilet paper which was great.

I stepped out and immediately there were tiny gasps and 'aww's' of approval.

"Now that is a Violet dress." Briana smiled.

I looked in the mirror and glanced at my mom who was wiping the tears under her eyes.

"Mom why are you crying?" I asked as the saleswoman placed a veil on my head and my mom smiled.

"You look so beautiful, my little flower." She smiled.

I wiped under my eyes again and groaned.

"I'm crying again." I said.

"Alright so the alterations are going to take about a week or two, okay?" She asked and I nodded. Zach was buying my dress for me as he did everything. The money I had made from my job was paying off the debt I had from school.

Since my mom was in the hospital 24/7, I have pretty much been living with Luke while my brother and his new girlfriend lived at our house.

Zeus would spend all his time with Jordie and I swear the dog was so bad, he would get dirty all the time and he was just a little rascal, along with now being sixty pounds.

"Find a dress?" Luke asked. I walked over to his bed and fell face first. Zeus looked up at me and scooted over to lay down by my head.

"Yes." I said softly.

"Why do you sound sad?" He asked. He lightly sat on my bum and began massaging my back.

"Mmm, you are such a good soon-to-be hubby." I moaned closing my eyes.

"I know. So what happened?" He asked.

"I found a dress, it's really pretty. My mom started crying, I cried a bit." I said.

"Of course a mom will cry when her daughter finds her wedding dress. My mom cried all night the night I proposed to you because she said soon I would move out and she would not have her baby anymore." He said.

"It just reminded me that soon I'm not going to have even one of my parents. My mom is going to go with my dad." I said.

"Yes, you are also gaining two new parents. I know it's hard and I will always be here to help you, as is my whole family, the Mafia guys at work, Zach and a couple of officers. My grandfather has a brother who is the police chief. We always have your back baby girl." He assured.

"I love you." I said closing my eyes.

"Yea you're alright." He teased and I laughed.

"Oh you are such an asshole!" I yelled and he got off of me and pulled me into his chest. Zeus forced his way in between our bodies to lay between us.

"I can't wait to start a family with you." He said brushing hair out of my face.

"We have already started our family." I said pointing to Zeus.

"Yea we have a bad kid." He laughed.
