^^ Violet's prom dress
Chapter 28
Violet's POV:
"Y-you're leaving before prom?" I squeaked. Jeff was throwing his clothes into his bag and he sighed.
"I am so sorry, baby. They want me to start training and the pros are calling me up, isn't this great!?" He said excitedly. I looked down at the ground.
"It is I'm really happy for you Jeff, but Houston is so far." I said.
"I know, you will always be my first love Violet; but I need to do this for me and if you truly love me I hope you can be happy for me." He said.
"And what about me? Just throw me away, right?" I asked.
"Violet you are going to Yale, I am so excited for you! You are going to do so well and maybe you will come play my school for lacrosse." He smiled.
"I'm happy for you, Jeff and I wish you luck." I said and he sighed.
"Thank you Violet." He kissed my cheek tenderly and we shared one last kiss before pulling away. I walked downstairs and out the door. I opened my phone to look at the prom dress Zach had bought for me and I sighed. I was so excited to go to prom with Jeff but now I was going solo.
"Single and ready to mingle girl." I whispered.
-----
"So you're telling me the kid dropped you and flew off to Houston?" Briana asked as she sat on my bed.
"Yep, he's gone. Just like that; he didn't even tell me he applied to Houston."
"What an ass." She whispered.
"Well Luke is not going with anyone." She smirked.
"Bri, I'm not going with Luke, prom is literally tomorrow. I'm going solo." I said laying my dress on my bed.
"Are we still on tomorrow morning to go get our nails did?" She asked.
"Of course, and then I will do your hair!" I squealed clapping like a little girl.
"You're such a girl." She teased.
"Trent is going to love you. Your hair is going to be curled and you are going to look like a super model." I said. Briana had a tight black dress that flared out mid calf, it was a mermaid style dress and it showed off the curves she never showed.
"He's going to get a smack in the head if he makes any sarcastic comments." Briana and Trent's way to express their love was to make sarcastic comments to each other and then laugh hysterically about it afterwards. They suited each other so well it was freaky.
"You should at least dance with Luke once. Just give the boy a chance. I heard he was playing guitar for you in the cafe." She smirked winking, I blushed profusely and she laughed.
"What song did he swoon you with?" She asked.
"A thousand years." I said and she laughed.
"Aww that's your song. I'll have to request it at the dance so that you two can dance and fall in love and have beautiful babies with beautiful eyes." I shook my head and rolled my eyes.
"Briana what would I do without you?" I chuckled. Just as I said that Paige bursted into the room with her hair in a hat.
"Sorry I'm late! They took so long with my hair." She sighed.
"Let's see how it looks, Book." Briana said. Paige took off her hat to reveal the freshly dyed teal and lilac locks.
"Wow it looks good." I smiled fluffing it out.
"You sure? Or should I just go back to brown?" She asked looking at it in the mirror.
"Book, you can't do normal colours. Don't be ridiculous." Bri said.
"Does Logan say anything about my hair?" She asked.
"Paige, Logan is madly head over heels for you, he loves your outgoing personality and your crazy, annoying self."
"She didn't call you 'book' so she's serious." I laughed.
"Aww I'm going to miss coach next year." Paige sighed.
"Maybe the coach at Yale will have some crazy nicknames for us." I shrugged.
"I sure hope so, or else lacrosse won't be the same."
