AN: fast forwarding a little bit, things with everyone is speeding up to talk about their adult years. So I am warning you it is a two year speed up :)

Two Years Later

Violet's POV:

I was doing a three year program at Yale for English, I already had a part time job for a women's magazine. I had my own column that I wrote about dating and other aspects of young adulthood.

I was on break now for the summer and I was going to Ace's 'bar' to meet up with Luke. It was our two year anniversary and I have been so busy the past two weeks with exams that we haven't seen each other.

I made my way to his house first to get changed since only his mom was home.

"Hi, Violet. I've missed you." She said hugging me tightly. I smiled and hugged her back completely forgetting how it felt to hug a mom. My mom has still been sick, she has been at a steady pace but she wasn't strong enough to hug me this tightly.

"I've missed you too." I said pulling back.

"So I picked up your dress. It's a little gift from me to you." She said clapping happily.

"You didn't have to do that." I smiled.

"Violet it is your two year anniversary with my baby, you are basically family." She grinned as we walked upstairs. She had the dress hanging on the door and I smiled.

"Oh Storm, it's beautiful." I gasped. It was a black dress that probably ended mid thigh with black lace sleeves and an open chest. It was simple yet classy.

"Well where he is taking you, you need something a little classy." She winked. I quickly got changed and placed on a pair of black heels. I took my hair out of the bun and it fell in big bouncy waves.

"Gorgeous." She smiled continuing to fluff out my hair.

"I better go or I am going to be late." I chuckled.

"Oh right, right...sorry." She apologized. I went out to civic and got in. I hope Luke drove his Audi in to work...

---------

"Violet, you look gorgeous." Luke's grandfather smiled as he held open the door for me. He still hung around the bar with them because he enjoyed seeing his son and grandson working.

"Thank you, Andrew." I smiled. I followed him in and he pushed open an ajar door on the left. Multiple men sat in the room with Ace sitting at the desk. He looked up and smiled as some of the younger men eyed me up and down.

"Tyler, Ken...hands off that's my boys' girl." Ace warned.

"This is Violet?" Someone asked surprised.

"Yes." Ace answered.

"I'm Keith, it's nice to meet you." He smiled shaking my hand. I said hello to Brandon and noticed Luke was not in the room.

"Where is Luke?" I asked.

"In his office doing some paper work I asked him to do. Hopefully he does it right." Ace said. Andrew led me to his office and he opened the door to Luke talking.

"-I'm just saying Ace is not going to take your decision lightly. He doesn't like it when his contacts go against him." He warned. I stepped in to see him looking down. He had on a black suit with a crisp white shirt and black tie. His hair was in the same quiff and his lip ring was still intact.

How I missed that cool piece of metal pressed against my lips.

"John, this isn't a father and son situation. This is work and this is business; he is my boss and you know how powerful he is." He said leaning back. His eyes met mine and his jaw dropped. I smiled happily as he sat up again.

"John- rethink your decision and let me know what you want to do, the one you made right now is not the right one." He said hanging up.

"Emerald?" He asked surprised, he stood up and I smiled holding out my arms.

"Hi cutie." I said loving the way he looked in a suit. He walked over and wrapped his arms around my waist and I wrapped mine around his neck.

"Happy anniversary, Lukey." I said kissing his cheek.

"Happy anniversary, love." He said peppering the side of my face with kisses. I smiled pulling back and resting my hands on his upper arms.

"I-I didn't know you were coming back today." He said stunned and I smiled.

"I wanted it to be a surprise so I didn't tell you when exams were over." I smirked.

"So you went A-wall for like two weeks because you wanted to surprise me?" He asked raising an eyebrow.

"Of course, all the best for daddy." I snickered. He shook his head tugging on his lip ring before pressing his lips to mine. He wrapped his arms around me tightly using his tongue to push open my mouth. I moaned at the feeling of his tongue massaging mine again. He pulled back shortly after panting heavily.

"You're lucky I know a place that will always take Mafia members." He winked.

"Exciting." I grinned while wrapping my hands around his arm.
