AN: I want led to give Luke and Violet a little rest and focus on the other developing relationships, like I want to do a couple of chapters with Cheric (love that) and maybe a few with Briana and Trent and then another couple with Logan and Paige. So let's spark something between Eric and Chase ^.^
Chapter 19
Eric's POV:
"M-mom?" I stuttered scratching the back of my neck. My mom was in her room folding laundry and she looked up.
"Eric, why are you walking around in your boxers?" She laughed.
"I sort of have a...date." I said nervously.
"Oooo with who?" She asked.
"I-it's not with a girl mom." I said.
"Okay, I asked with who? What's his name?" She asked not even phased.
"Wait you're not mad?" I asked surprised.
"Eric why would I be mad? You are your own person I can't tell you who to like." She laughed walking over to me.
"Really?" I asked not sure.
"Of course. I wouldn't care if you wanted to take Jordie out for a night on the town." She giggled. Jordie's head popped up from on the floor and I shook my head.
"Mom that's beastiality." I said shaking my head.
"Oh...right." She said her laugh going away.
"So what's the issue?" She asked.
"I don't know what to wear." I said honestly.
"Well where are you guys going?"
"The movies." I answered.
"So wear something casual." She hummed going through my clean clothes on my bed. She tossed me my grey football hoodie and a pair of jeans.
"That one shows off your football muscles." She grinned.
"He's bigger than me." I said.
"How old is he?" She asked cautiously.
"He's not an old man!" I said quickly and she sighed in relief.
"Thank God."
"He is a year older than me and he does competitive swimming at Spencer's academy."
"Are you going out with Chase Maverick?" She asked.
"You know him?"
"He is the only kid I know at Spencer's because of your father and I know that he is in grade eleven and does swimming."
"Well yea, him." I said shoving the sweater over my head.
"He is like six foot four and you know swimmers they work out every single day." I said.
"And they are hairless." She added.
"Mom..." I groaned, talking to my mom was like talking to my younger sister Sophia.
"I'm just trying to help you out, you are still sixteen and you are big too, just know he probably has the wash board abs."
"Alright I'm leaving." I said turning.
"Bye honey bunch! Have fun!" She called and I shook my head.
"Where are you off too?" Ethan asked me as I shoved on a pair of shoes.
"I'm going to the movies." I said.
"With who?" He asked.
"Uh...this girl I met at the party."
"Sweet what's her name?"
"Ch-Chastity." I said and he hollered with laughter.
"Girls with those names are probably freaks, have fun." He grinned before continuing on upstairs. I opened the door to Chase walking up my lawn.
"I knew your dad was loaded but shit." He said looking at our house.
"He designed it for my mom." I said looking back to make sure Ethan wasn't looking out the window. Knowing him, he probably was.
"You ready?" Chase asked looking me up and down.
"Uh yea." I said nervously.
------------
We watched one of these slasher films with teenagers. You know how they are, having sex in the woods or in a cabin and then they die. So needless to say it was uncomfortable. Chase watched intently while my eyes flashed around, from the guy fingering his girlfriend in the back corner, to the couple holding hands and to the girl sucking on her boyfriends' neck.
"What are you staring at?" He whispered and I gestured to the couple in the back corner. He glanced over and then laughed.
"You're so innocent, kid." He whispered.
"You are only a year older than me." I frowned and he met my eyes and flashed me a white smile.
"And clearly more mature." He said placing his hand on my thigh.
"Uh clearly more immature." I said rolling my eyes.
"One of us has to be. It wouldn't be fun otherwise." He said meeting my eyes again. I couldn't help but smile and he looked back at the terrible movie.
"Want to come back to my house? My parents aren't home and no I am not trying to seduce you." He assured and I blinked.
"Uh...sure." I said and he stood up. He took my hand in his and I gulped. It was a busy movie theatre. He turned back to me before we went out and smiled.
"No one is going to care that you are holding Chase Maverick's hand. Girls are going to go insane. They like this sort of thing." He smirked. We continued through the movie theatre with him holding my hand and he was right. No one paid any attention to us. We went out to his car and he smiled pressing a small kiss to my head.
"See? No one cared."
