(Whytnie’s POV)

“That’s it?” he asks, staring down at the list I’d written. He’d asked me earlier about all the things I’d want to do before I died. “You want to be in a music video? Get married in a church? Honeymoon in Paris? Make sure Caleb ends up with somebody that deserves him?” He gave me a skeptical look on that one. “Speaking of, when’s his flight getting in?”

“In about an hour or so,” I answer and smile at him. Caleb had delayed his visit long enough, complaining about finals and then home life. He even complained about his girlfriend, who was supposed to be coming with him. Yay, me?

Harry went on talking, mostly about this list. He was just looking forward to Caleb’s arrival more than anything, really. I can tell. “…and I think I know what we’re going to do about this whole music video thing.”

            “You do?”

“Yeah!” He sets the list down and pulls out his phone. “Gimme a minute.” I watch him walk into a different room, out of hearing range and out of my line of sight. Sighing, I let my face fall into my hands. I should be happy, right? I am. Well, I think I am. I don’t know how to feel exactly. Maybe I’m just numb. After all, I’m getting married soon. Speaking of, I shouldn’t even think about it or I’ll start freaking out.

I mean, part of me is happy that Harry still wants to marry me and I don’t want to marry anyone else; but the other part of me is just scared. I know there are risks and that anybody could die today… It’s just I know that I’m going to die soon. I just feel disgusted with myself for doing this to Harry.

As the guilt starts taking over, Harry walks back in with a huge smile on his face. His smile drops as he sees me. “What’s wrong?” He was by my side in a matter of seconds. “I thought that this is what you wanted.”

“I just love you,” I reply, my voice breaking. Sighing, he takes me in his arms and I hold on for my life. I don’t want to let go. I don’t want to let him go. I’m too selfish and maybe that’s my downfall. But I won’t let him go.

After a while, he switches positions where he’s sitting on the couch and I’m cradled in his arms while sitting on his lap. I feel like a baby but I don’t object or complain. He’s whispering little nothings and they mean the world to me. But stuff like this only lasts for so long, until you have to return back to reality. “So are you up for a road trip?”

(Whytnie's POV)

Patiently waiting. Yeah, I love patiently waiting. Maybe I’ll hum while I’m “patiently waiting”. Or maybe I’ll sing a lovely song about all the reasons why I love patiently waiting. Or maybe I’ll just jump off a bridge because I hate patiently waiting.

Harry clears his throat, making me turn towards him. “Why are you pacing?”

Shrugging, I reply, “I don’t know.” I start pacing again, getting weird looks from the people around me. I don’t care. I should, but I don’t. Not only are they giving me weird looks like I’m crazy, but the people that notice Harry are doing far worse. He hasn’t had the best life once news got out that he wasn’t in One Direction anymore, but he doesn’t like to talk about it. Maybe this is what it feels like for him when I have problems of my own.

Sighing, I feel all the life drain out of me as I wrap my arms around Harry’s waist. He doesn’t hesitate to pull me closer to him, as if he could protect me from anything. I smile and don’t move for another minute. I’m not really that kind of girl that likes PDA, and I don’t think anyone else wants to see it. They all hate me. Why would they like me?
