(Whytnie’s POV)

Apologies are hard, and they mean losing your pride. Not that I have much of that, but I’m just saying. For Harry, I guess. I don’t know. Apologies are hard because it makes you admit that you’re wrong and the other person is right. Sometimes that’s the hardest thing to do, but also the right way to go.

“Just knock already,” I urge. Harry gives me a look before turning back around and knocking lightly on the door. I roll my eyes. Of course he’s being difficult. Sighing, I walk up next to him and bang on the door. There’s movement behind the door before it finally opens a crack, a pair of eyes glaring out at us. “Before you slam the door in my face, I do believe you owe us an apology!”

“He started it,” Caleb insists. Rolling my eyes, I glare back at him. Now he’s trying to challenge me to a glaring contest? He knows I’ll win. Why? Because I’m right. Which is exactly why he falters first and opens the door wider. “Why are you always right?”

“Because I’m a girl?” I shrug and move out of the way. “Now go on, get it over with already, I wanna go to the movies.” They both give me weird looks in return. “Come on, ladies, I don’t have all day.” They both give me some more looks which I ignore. “Go on, kiss and make up already. We’ve got things to do.” Neither of them says anything, although Harry looks like he’s ready to just get this day over with already. “There’s a time limit people.” Probably not the wisest thing to say to two overprotective losers, which is exactly why their faces both turn to concern. I resist the urge to roll my eyes. “I’m fine. Or I will be. Go on. Don’t make me wait all day.”

Caleb’s the first one to break. “Fine.” He takes a deep calming breath before looking at me. “I’m sorry, Whytnie, that I betrayed your trust and told your fiancé here about one of our little secrets.” He winks as Harry doesn’t miss the part where Caleb implied that there might’ve been more things Harry didn’t know. “Do you forgive me?”

“You’re an ass.” I give him a funny look. “And you need to start groveling.” He rolled his eyes before getting down on his knees.

“Oh, beautiful, Whytnie,” I started laughing. Man, was he overdramatic, “will you ever forgive thou? I have falsely crossed you, I do apologize.” He then turns to Harry and gets up from his knees. “I do apologize but I do bite my thumb at you, sir.” My head falls into my hands and I try to hide my laughter.

“Funny,” Harry says with a monotone voice. “But I am going to apologize because it wasn’t right. And it was you who started it, just so we’re clear.”

            “No way.”

“Yes way!” I yell at them. “Now hug and make up!” They don’t move. “Oh goodness, why don’t you cry a river, build a bridge, and get over it already? I was being serious about before! I really am hungry!”

“I thought you said you wanted to see a movie?”

            “Same thing! I want nachos!”

Caleb gives me a defeated look before turning to Harry, serious this time, and apologizes for being an ass and that he was way out of line. “And I’m sorry that I’m not going anywhere any time soon.”

“You are if you continue to blab about everything we talk about,” I imply before getting a funny look from Caleb and a hurt one from Harry. “Only kidding. I’m getting better at telling you everything.”
