MARIA'S POV
Okay so we got our Dairy Queen and are now on our way home to spy on Mom and Dad. I'm really nervous. Something seems to be really bothering Dad.
The car ride was complete silence until Kristina broke it.
"Are you okay, Maria?" She asked.
"Um just nervous. Something seems to be bothering Dad." I replied.
"I noticed it too." Vinny said.
The rest of the car ride was in silence. We bought an extra ice cream for Mom that we can spill if we get caught.
So we've been gone for ten minutes and are now at the house.
We heard Mom and Dad faintly speaking.
"Where are they?" Kristina asked.
"Over here. Follow me." Vinny said.
He led us to the window in which we can see the kitchen and family room. They were in the kitchen talking.
I couldn't hear anything but from the looks on their faces something is wrong.
"I can't hear them." Kristina said.
"Neither can I." Said Vinny.
"Me too. But by the looks they have something's up." I stated.
Vinny and Kristina nodded in reply.
Mom face palmed and Dad just stared. Then Mom mumbled something and they both went off to do their own thing.
"Well I guess they just let it go." I said.
"Yup." Vinny replied.
"But something is definitely up." Kristina stated.
"Definitely." I said.
"Let's just go. We'll get to see how they act over the weeks." Vinny suggested.
"Okay." Kristina and I said.
"Just walk in laughing and look like we don't suspect anything." I said.
Vinny and Kristina nodded.
I through the extra ice cream away since we didn't get caught.
We all walked in the door laughing causing Mom to smile and Dad to stay emotionless.
"Thanks again for letting us go Mom!" I said.
"No problem sweetie!" She replied.
"We're gonna go upstairs and watch a movie." Said Vinny.
"Okay. Have fun!" Mom said.
Then we all walked up the stairs quietly, thinking about what just happened.
VINNY'S POV
Okay. Something was definitely up. Dad was acting all mean and Mom was trying to fake a smile. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
"Okay, so what movie?" I asked.
"Um.. Despicable Me?" Maria asked.
"Yes!" Kristina and I yelled.
We all started laughing.
Once the movie started and the volume was loud enough so Mom and Dad couldn't hear us talking, I said, "Okay, did you see the looks on Mom and Dad's faces?" I asked.
"Yes. When we walked in Mom's face lit up and Dad just.. he just..." Maria trailed off.
"He stayed expressionless." Kristina finished.
"Yeah." Maria said.
"I wonder what's wrong." I said.
Maria and Kristina shrugged.
"We'll just have to wait and see." Maria said.
After that we just let the movie take over all of our negative thoughts and enjoyed it.
•
"Okay. Off to bed!" Mom yelled up to us at 11pm. Perfect timing because the second movie we watched, Monsters Inc. just finished.
"Okay. Goodnight Maria! Goodnight Kristina!" I said.
"Goodnight!" They simultaneously yelled back.
I just smiled and went off to bed.
I fell asleep thinking about what could be wrong with Dad....
KRISTINA'S POV
Maria and I talked until 2am about anything and everything. Now we're on the topic of Before You Exit.
"Oh my gosh! I hope we get to meet them!" Maria exclaimed.
"Me too! It would be a dream come true!" I said.
"I know! I wonder what it's like to see Toby in person..." She trailed off.
God this girl has such a big crush on Toby.
"You have the biggest crush on Toby," I said and she smiled sheepishly.
"Maybe but I do know that you would faint if you saw Riley in person." She stated while giggling.
She knows me so well.
"Not true!" I retorted.
"Oh it definitely is!" She said back.
"Not! Besides you still love Toby!" I said.
"Touché." She replied while smiling.
I laughed.
"It's 2:15. Can we go to bed now?" I asked.
"Yeah. It is late. Plus we gotta plan in the morning! School is over in a week and you know what that means!"
"Yup! Our flight is in 1 and a half weeks!" I said happily.
"Yep! Well goodnight! Love ya!"
"Goodnight! Love ya too!" I said.

MARIA'S POV
I woke up and looked at Kristina. She was still asleep. I'll just let her sleep for a half hour longer.
Wait, what time is it?
Oh my gosh! It's noon! I have to wake her up!
"Kristina, wake up." I said.
She wouldn't budge.
I shook her and said, "Kristina you gotta get up. It's noon."
That woke her up. She shot up, nearly knocking me over.
"Oh my god! It's noon already?!" She exclaimed.
"Apparently. Can we got eat now? I'm hungry." I said.
"Yeah. Me too. Leggo!" She answered.
I laughed at her as we walked out my bedroom door.
"Morning Mom!" I yelled once we got downstairs.
"Morning girls!" She said.
Okay. Now for breakfast. I'm having a bagel with cream cheese and scrambled eggs. The usual.
"What do you want?" I asked Kristina.
"Hmm.. I'll have the same as you." She said.
"Okay." I said.
•
Ten minutes later we were eating our breakfast. By the time we were done it was 1pm and Kristina said she had to go home.
"Okay! See you tomorrow!" I yelled.
"Ugh," she groaned, "I forgot we had school. Anyway, see ya!" She said.
"Yep! Bye! Text me!"
"Okay! Bye! Love ya!"
"Love ya too!"
I love this girl so much. Now to get to my homework I need started. I don't even know why teachers like to pile homework on us. Like seriously. Anyway, lets blow this joint.
