Chapter 43 part 2

CONNOR'S POV

Okay, so your probably wondering what happened to the girls. Well, the guys and I had to call Hayes and Cam to come help us look for Kris, Maria, Jenna, and their cliques. Eventually, we found them fighting in the park. Remy made sure to make it clear that the next time we caught them fighting that we would call the cops.

So, right now, we are in my house and talking to Hayes and Cam.

"There's something important that we have to tell you guys now." I began.

"What is it?" Cam replied, confused.

"Well, you remember Kaitlin, Tess, and Kylie from school?" Riley asked.

"Yeah. What do they have to do with this?" Hayes asked.

"So.... long story short.... they're trying to kill Maria, Kris, and Jenna." B blurted.

Hayes' and Cam's mouths hung agape.

"Now guys... we need to be able to know that you won't tell anyone this." Thomas cautiously said.

They didn't reply....

But after a few minutes of silence, they finally did.

"Why?" they asked

"Fame, money, sex.... from Before You Exit. So since Maria, Kris, and Jenna were in their way because they knew the truth, they're plotting to kill them. Maria's step-dad is in on it too. Kaitlin, Tess, and Kylie already killed someone. Someone who blocked the girls from getting hit. His name was Tam. He was Maria's true love. And they killed him. Before all of that, when we caught all of the girls arguing, we chose not to believe Maria, Kris, and Jenna when they explained what happened. After that we didn't see Tam or Remy or those girls for three months... until they came back to visit Maria's dad's grave.... which is where Tam took his last breath. So, that's the story. That's why we're worried about the girls right now." I explained.

Hayes' and Cam's mouths somehow hung lower than they did before.

"Are you kidding?" Cam asked.

"Why would we joke about something like this? You know how close we are to the girls." Toby said.

Hayes and Cam smirked at him. I guess they picked up on him and Maria too. Oh god.

"What?" he asked them.

"Oh nothing." Hayes replied.

The rest of us chuckled.

"You will tell me sooner or later." Toby retorted.

"Yes. But right now later is the right choice because we have to go-" Cam got cut off by the ringtone of someone's phone.

Toby picked his phone up.

"Hello?" he asked.

"Yes."

"Okay."

"Where."

"What time?" he asked again.

"Okay. And we told two more of our friends because they witnessed everything that happened between the girls now and we're close."

"Good. So I'm bringing them with us."

"Okay. Thanks so much."

"We'll be there in 10."

(End of phone call)

"Okay everyone. That was Olivia. She wants us at the police station. That includes you two, Cam and Hayes. She sounded distressed so let's brave ourselves for the worst." Toby explained as he led the group to my car.

On the way to the police station, we told Cam and Hayes everything that we missed. So now they know absolutely everything that we know. And they're ready to beat Kaitlin, Tess, and Kylie, just like the rest of us.

As soon as we walk into the police station, Olivia comes right over to us.

"I'm guessing these are the boys you told." she says.

"I'm Cam." Cam says.

"Hayes."

"Okay. Well the boys obviously trust you so I will too. But that's not the issue at hand. We really have to talk. Follow me." Olivia says and rushes to an interview room.

This doesn't seem good at all. Olivia's usually really calm about everything.

"What is it?" Toby asks once she shuts the down.

"What's Kaitlin's favorite subject?" she suddenly asked.

"Technology and science. Why?" Toby responded.

"What's Tess'?" Olivia questioned.

"Technology. What's this have to do with anything?" I asked.

"And Kylie's?"

"Science. What is with all of this?" Thomas replied, getting irritated.

She started to bite her nails.

"Remember when the girls disappeared with Maria, Kris, and Jenna and we found them in the alley?" Olivia asked.

"Yeah. Why?" we responded simultaneously.

"And remember when I said that their heads were bashed open so they passed out before all the bad stuff happened?"

"Yes. Tell us where you're going with this!" I said.

"You said they've been acting really different, like no where close to their normal personalities. They have changed completely and hate one another. Right?"

"Yes! Now tell us why!" Riley said.

"No one with a head injury like that have suffered those changes. It's not possible. There has to be another explanation." Olivia stated.

"Which is...?" Riley asked.

"Well, I think that Kaitlin, Tess, and Kylie put chips in the girls' heads. It's the only explanation. Science and technology are Kaitlin's, Tess', and Kylie's favorite subjects, the girls' heads were bashed and they were passed out, they were missing for a day, and they're acting too differently."

All of our jaws dropped.

"No..." Toby trailed off.

"I know this is a lot to take in but we need to figure a way out to help them. The girls are in terrible danger. Kaitlin, Tess, and Kylie could be controlling them right now."

I'm positive that the guys and my face became pale. Too pale.

"And do you know what that means?" she asked.

"What?" we all asked, our voices quavering.

"This means that the girls can be killed any minute, and they can kill anyone that tries to take the chip out. Everyone around those three girls, including themselves, are in a huge amount of danger."
