Chapter 53

MARIA'S POV

I was already up before my alarm went off. And when it did start playing All of Me by John Legend, I let it play and hopped out of bed.

Today was my favorite day of the week. It was movie/book character day. It took the group and I hours to think of a book or movie that had eight boys and three girls in it. However when I suggested my favorite series, Wings by Aprilynne Pike, they all agreed. Not only would it be fun to dress up as the girls/faeries, the guys would have fun dressing up as trolls. Even though two of the characters aren't important, they wanted to use them because the guys wanted to dress up as trolls... Boys...

Also, it's the most comfortable day of the week. I basically was going to wear the same style that I usually do. Same with Jenna and Kris. I'm not sure about the guys though. In the book, the male faeries wore tight shirts with loose fitting pants.... and the trolls don't have symmetry... In other words, one side of their face could be drooping, and the other would be normal. So yeah, you could say I'm a little scared of what they're going to look like.

*(FLASHBACKKK)*

"What book or movie can we choose that has this many boys and three girls?" Connor asked, getting frustrated.

"Well, we could do the Wings series by Aprilynne Pike. The costumes are going to be hard though... well for the boys..." I trailed.

"The faerie book?" Thomas asked.

"You could put it that way. There's trolls too, hence the hard part about the costume. But I can think of six male characters off the top of my head, and I'm positive there's more, and four female characters." I said.

"Yes! I wanna be a troll!" Hayes yells with Cam and Thomas.

I raised my eyebrows at the rest.

"Yeah, it would be fun to dress up like that." Riley said, the rest nodding in agreement.

"There is one thing though..." Jenna said.

Tears began to well in my eyes.

Toby came right over to me and put his arm around my shoulders.

"Whatever it is, it'll be okay." he whispered and I nodded.

"One of the male main characters... his name is.. Tamani, most call him Tam though." Kris said quietly.

More tears started to fall. Toby stroked my hair and whispered comforting words into my ear.

"I'd like to do it even more now. In honor of Tam." Connor said.

I wiped my tears away from my face and turned away from Toby.

"Yes. Let's do it." I said and everyone cheered.

I looked up into Toby's concerned and worried eyes. I leaned up and kissed him on the cheek.

"Thank you." I whispered in his ear and he rubbed my back.

"Okay, so these are the parts. Laurel, the main character and faerie, Chelsea, Laurel's best friend, David, Laurel's boyfriend/ex-boyfriend and other best friend, Tamani, Laurel's true love and beset faerie friend, Shar, Tam's best friend, Aaron, Tam's other friend, Jamison, leader of the faeries, Klea, faerie hunter and a faerie herself, an evil one, Barnes, evil head of trolls, 'Red', troll, and 'Scarface', troll." I explained, adding the two other trolls for the guys.

"I call Barnes!" Thomas yelled.

"'Red'!" Cam shouted.

"'Scarface'!" Hayes yelled.

"Okay, three boys with the three trolls." I mumbled.

"Jamison." Braiden said.

"David." Remy said.
