Chapter 55

MARIA'S POV

By the time morning came, I was still freaking out about what Toby did for me last night. It was so thoughtful. I have to tell him how I feel, even if he doesn't feel the same. I'll tell him once we get to Myrtle Beach, or sometime that we are there.

Anyways, today was formal day. I absolutely adored the dress I was just slipping on. It was sleeveless and white on the top, jewels on the waist, and black on the bottom. It went above my knees, but not too far above. I was hoping I wasn't going to fall as I put my blue heels on. I tried to get short heels because I'm so tall and I hate being tall. It sort of worked out. Moving on, I let my hair flow down my back. I put on mascara and eyeliner, along with blush and chapstick.

I walked downstairs and Jenna and Kris looked gorgeous, as usual. Jenna was wearing a spaghetti strapped dress that was white on the top with a pink hi-lo skirt, along with gold heels. She wore her hair in a side bun with a waterfall braid around her head, with a few curly strands falling out of the bun. Kris was also wearing a spaghetti strapped dress, but hers was blackish leatherish on the top with a mint green skirt and black heels. She wore her hair with a few strands of her hair in the front pulled to the back of her head, letting her grown out bangs frame her face.

"Ready?" I asked the girls.

They nodded and we walked out the door.

Okay, really, I don't know which day the guys looked the hottest. I've thought this everyday, literally. But it doesn't matter. Seeing boys in sweats or a V-neck and jeans may be hot, but seeing them in a tux is even better.

"Holy Jesus." I said.

The guys laughed.

"You girls look stunning." Thomas said as Connor and Riley wrapped Jenna and Kris in their arms.

They giggled and squealed as the boys tickled them.

I, on the other hand, walked over to Toby.

"Thank you so much for last night. I really appreciate and will never forget it. It was the kindest and most thoughtful thing anyone has ever done for me." I whispered.

"Anytime. It was my pleasure, Smiley." he whispered, his hot breath against my neck.

I smiled and kissed his cheek. Toby blushed and so did I.

Everyone 'awwhhh'ed at us and we blushed even more.

However I took a step forward and smiled up at Toby while I grabbed his hand.

He smiled back at me. And to my great satisfaction Toby didn't let go. I thought I felt him flinch, but it was probably just me.

The group stayed silent as they were in shock from my sudden 'move'.

Riley just smiled, along with everyone else.

They all want us to be together.

The school soon came into sight. The group and I were leaving early because we were driving to Myrtle Beach, and it was going to take like 8 hours.

We walked up to the front doors and were immediately met with Blenia and Emery.

"Hi." we all said, smiling.

"Hi." they replied.

"Who's this?" Riley asked.

"Oh right. Riley, Connor, Braiden, Thomas, Remy, this is Blenia and Emery." Hayes introduced.

"Nice to meet you." they said.

"You too." Blenia and Emery replied.

Blenia was wearing a magenta peplum dress that was a little too short and Emery was wearing a light orange bodycon dress that was a little too tight. I have no clue what Hayes and Cam saw in them. They're a little mean in class for two new girls. I've also seen them around the 'popular' boys a little too much and are a little too touchy with them. That's too much 'a little too' s to say about two new girls.
