Rex saw himself in an all white room. Again? He knew it was a dream. But what would happen?
"Hello," There was a boy, who looked basically the same as him, but more innocent.
"Who are you?" Rex said, backing off a bit.
"I'm, no one yet. I'm the person..."
"Who's going to possess me? And throw away all my memories!" Rex screamed.
"You started that yourself. You couldn't accept anything, and you had to keep moving."
"I needed to save everyone."
"I'm going to save everyone."
"You are...?"
"I wouldn't forget that."
"But you'll forget everything else!"
"That's...true."
"What?" Rex said,"Why do you sound, sad?"
"Because it's going to hurt."
"Huh?"
"For you, me, and all of us."
"Are you really going to forget her?"
"I don't think there's any other way."
"So you aren't, me. Not as a person."
"No. I'm simply something you made when you needed to be a hero."
"Tell me... can you really be a hero?"
"I don't know, but I have to try, and keep trying, no matter what."
"You won't break?"
"I can't. Not if I'm going to be a hero to other people."
"That's...good." Rex smiled, realizing something.
"I'm so sorry."
"Thanks for your concern. But you shouldn't worry about it."
"Why?"
"Because you'll just forget it anyways."
"I wish I could remember more."
"Don't worry. You'll have plenty of time to figure it out. You don't need my memories either."
"But, I know you're losing things because of this. Things that I won't remember."
"That's true." Rex looks down. But he has to be strong,"When you meet a girl named Kyasurin, can you tell her,'I'm sorry'? Is that too much to ask?"
"I will. I think, I can remember that."
"Please. If I'm leaving for you. Than she'll never forgive me. But still, I should apologize. I'm doing what I need to do."
"Thank you."
"Seeing you, what else was I supposed to do? How could I not realize it?"
"What?"
"Just who you are? Thank you."
The boy was confused,"Oh, I need a name."
"And you want me to give you one?"
"Maybe than you won't feel like you're leaving behind so much."
"Alright," Rex looked up at the boy,"Alan. I think, that name fits you. So leave, and save everyone."
"You're really accepting this." Alan said.
"Yeah. You can do things I could never do."
"Huh? You're really okay with giving up?"
"I'm not giving up. I'm just passing the baton to you."
"I'm sorry."
"Stop apologizing. Just, I know I won't remember, but, please..."
"What?"
"Please...just...make sure, I wouldn't have any regrets. You can succeed where I failed, so at least do that." He started to cry.
"I'll try, Rex, I'll try."
"And Kyasurin. Stay there for her. She might need it."
"I'll do everything I can remember." Alan said, walking out of the room.
Rex simply stayed. He couldn't move,"It's all up to you now. Please, save everyone, but you better...save...her. Otherwise...I'll...never forgive...you...for that. Kyasurin, please...don't give up. That is...Rex Flynn's...last wish."
--------
So this story is actually Canon to the roleplay, at least, as long as this is okay with TheFandomPhantom so yeah. Rex kinda destroyed his own personal identity. So now there's a new person there instead. And now he has Rex's goals to do. Alan's going to have a lot of pressure on him...
So yeah. Rex is kinda gone, but he might not be gone forever. I don't know, I don't have much of a plan yet.
