Last time, on The Adventures of Sky Endo (and Alice), Sky finally confronted Harry, although she was outplanned and almost got caught in Harry's trap, when Kay appeared out of nowhere and saved her, by making her do the interview she actually tried to squeeze out of to talk to Harry. Now, a few days later...
--------
"Come on Sky, you know you're stalling." Alice told her, standing in front of Sky.
"Um, no I'm not!" Sky said.
"You haven't gone to confront Harry since last time. That's stalling if I've ever seen it." Alice pointed out.
"Well, uh..." Sky thought for a moment,"It's not like we have to stop him nooooow."
"He's probably taking more people's emotions you know. Waiting like this might only make things worse." Alice said.
"Well... I know." Sky looked down,"But, I'm not sure what I can do."
"What do you mean?" Alice tilted her head.
"Last time, he almost got me with his mask power thingy. How do we know that won't just happen next time, without me getting lucky." Sky said.
"We could find a way to stop it, I'm sure! If we worked together." Alice said.
"Only if we transformed. And we can't do that in public." Sky said.
"Well then we just have to find him in private!" Alice said, trying to cheer Sky up.
"Like that'll happen..." Sky muttered something that Alice couldn't hear.
"What?" Alice asked.
"Look, he's clearly smarter than I am." Sky said,"He probably could twist and defeat me no matter what plan I came up with. There's no way he'll let us meet in private."
"But..." Alice looked at Sky, her eyes were wide and she seemed sad.
"I can't do it." Sky said sternly.
Alice looked panicked, she started flying around the room frantically,"Sky, you can't just give up like this."
"But what alternative is there?"
"Well...if you give up..." Alice looked down, not wanting to finish her sentence, and then spotted something,"Wait a second, what day is it?"
"Uhhh, October 28th, I think?" Sky said, being caught a bit off guard.
"And it's a Tuesday." Alice said.
"Yep." Sky replied.
"So then Friday is Halloween." Alice concluded.
"Yeah, there's my costume." Sky pointed to the detective outfit that had inspired Alice.
"No, no, I've got a better plan." Alice said,"A way we might be able to stop Harry."
"I doubt it'll work." Sky muttered.
"Stop being so cynical! It's really simple. We just change up your Halloween costume." Alice said.
"What?" Sky was confused.
"Instead of being detective Sky, we just flip things up and character transform before we go to school." Alice said.
"And then we could be transformed throughout the school day!" Sky realized.
"Since people would just think it's our costume." Alice pointed out.
"Then we can confront Harry with our powers at our disposal." Sky said.
"See, there was a way for it to work out." Alice smiled at Sky.
"Yeah, you're right." Sky nodded back,"I'm sorry for getting so down."
"Don't worry about it." Alice said,"You're all better now after all."
"Alright then, Friday, we got a plan." Sky said,"We'll find out a way to stop that Harry."
--------
On Halloween.
"Alright then," Sky said,"Let's do this."
"Okay!" Alice flew into Sky, and once again, her outfit puffed out, the pirate hat appearing out of nowhere, and the rest of her accessories appearing,"Character Transformation! Wonderland Explorer!"
Aiko walked up,"You're really going to school like that?"
"Yep!" Sky and Alice's voice rang out together.
"What'll you say when people ask you what your costume is?" Aiko asked.
"Oh, ummm, I'll just say I put on what I thought looked fun. I could also say I lost my other costume." She said.
"Also, make sure you sound like just Sky. I can hear Alice in your voice." Aiko pointed out.
"Oh, umm, okay." Sky said, her voice going back to normal.
"So you're going after Harry again?" Aiko asked.
"This is my chance." Sky said.
Aiko nodded, then thought for a moment,"Be careful. Good luck."
"Don't worry about it, I will!" Sky said, starting to confidently walk out of the house.
--------
The school day passed as a normal school day would, except, well, it was Halloween. So everyone walked around in costumes, and lunch was going to be extended for a challenge for best costume. Sky did get asked about her costume a few times, and deflected the question as best she could each time. She just had to find Harry at some point. She wondered if he would be doing the same thing, using his transformation as a costume. And lunch arrived eventually.
"Alright then, nods our chance. We've got plenty of time." Sky could hear Alice's voice in her head.
Sky nodded, and she headed towards the cafeteria, hoping Harry might be sitting where she had found him last.
"Grrrr. He isn't here." Sky said, looking at the seat.
"I don't see him around anywhere either." Alice said,"We have to keep looking, where might he be?"
Sky thought for a moment,"He'd have to be somewhere where he could be safe. Since he probably planned for us. So likely a place with lots of people."
"Like...the costume contest?" Alice suggested.
Sky's eyes widened. "Of course! That would be the perfect place to hide in plain sight!"
"Sky, people are looking at you strangely again." Alice pointed out.
"Eep!" Sky jumped a bit, getting nervous again. But just tried to keep walking. She was pretty sure she could find him at the contest.
