Last time on The Adventures of Sky Endo (and Alice), Sky had a sleepy day at school, often embarrassing herself. She also found that mysterious boy who she had fought the night before, who's name was discovered to be Harry, who invited her to talk after school. She also promised the young 3rd grader she saved yesterday for an interview, also after school... Realizing that, she now has to make a choice on what to do!
--------
"So, you need me to go tell a third grader you need to break a promise you made about two hours ago?" Aiko looked at Sky.
"Well, yeah, but that makes it sound worse than it is." Sky said,"Tell Kay I'll do it tomorrow though, if I can."
"That does not make you look very dependable." Aiko said.
"I know, but... that Harry kid might try bad things again. And I need to know what he's doing." Sky said.
Alice nodded,"I was a little hasty in making you accept. I want to know more about his guardian character too. If it's who he wants to be, then who is it?"
"Argh, fine." Aiko said, but then mumbled,"Giving me the annoying job."
"I am the one with a guardian character you know. It could be dangerous for you." Sky said.
"Yeah, I need to be there to protect Sky." Alice said.
"Fine, fine, I understand. Good luck with Harry!" Aiko said.
"Good luck with, uh...not getting Kay mad." Sky said, starting to walk away. Alice flew after her.Sky found Harry in the field outside the back of the school,"You." She said dramatically, as she walked towards him.
"Oh, hello. You actually came." Harry turned around with a smile. His guardian character, Tragedian, stood on his shoulder,"So, what did you want to talk about?" He sounded perfectly friendly.
"You know...what you did last night!" Sky said.
"Oh, you're still riled up about that? Come on, things are already back to normal." Harry said.
"Still, what if I hadn't come to save her? Would you just have kept her like that?" Sky asked.
"Only till the next morning. Then I'd make her think she was sick, and it would explain the disappearance. Everything always works out." Harry said.
"Still, you're not letting people feel how they really want." Sky said.
Harry just sighed,"Of course a childish girl like you could never understand. There is a real purpose to everything I do."
"And what's that?" Alice asked.
"To understand emotions." Harry said proudly.
"Understand...emotions?" Sky tilted her head, confusion on her face.
"You were interested in my drawings, were you not?" Harry said.
"You don't have to talk so formally." Alice muttered.
"Well, of course, you drew a bunch of pictures of me!" Sky said, her voice annoyed,"Like a stalker."
"Well, you have a guardian character. So obviously your emotions could be even more interesting than the other amateurs at this school. That's why I wanted to be prepared with every possibility." Harry said.
"Prepared?" Sky asked nervously.
"You saw my power yesterday. Although I can create masks on the spot, they are much more effective, and much less obvious, if I've already prepared them through a drawing." Harry said.
"In other words, you were preparing for another fight with us!" Alice said.
Harry and his guardian character just laughed,"Not necessarily. I could use one right now. I haven't actually drawn a mask in a long time. I wonder how it will turn out." He laughed.
"You, you won't manipulate my feelings!" Sky said.
"Then promise to not get in my way." Harry said,"All I'm doing is an experiment."
"But, I can't let you do that either." Sky said.
"Oh, so what are you going to do?" Harry asked.
Sky looked over at Alice.
"Are you planning to transform? Now, when our schools sports teams are practicing that close to us. Don't you think that might cause problems." Harry said.
"Well, you need to transform to use your powers too, so you can't really do anything to me, can you!" Sky replied.
"Not if I've already drawn the picture." Harry said,"You really should've thought this through more. Just coming to talk to me without a plan really only helps me."
"You...you supervillain!" Sky said.
"Oh great, thanks for those insults." Harry said.
Alice frowned,"Sky, you should just run. I can distract him."
"No, I doubt I'd be able to get away quick enough, I don't know exactly what he does." Sky said.
"Well, it kinda sucks to have to do this but I can't let you get in my way. And since you clearly won't promise to not, I'll make sure you can't." Harry says, and he took out his sketchbook, and from it, he created a mask for Sky, but the face looked really bored.
Alice flew in front of Sky,"I'll protect you!"
Harry shook his head,"There's no point." He was about to throw the mask, when somebody bounded out of the school and barreled towards Harry.
"You're the one who kept Sky from coming to my interview, aren't you!" Kay said, standing right in front of Harry.
Harry looked a bit confused,"Uh, I think you're mixing something up." The mask in his hand disappeared, but Kay didn't seem to notice.
"No, I'm not, I pressured Aiko until she gave up all of her secrets." Kay said,"Plus, you're the kid from yesterday too. That one who made me fall asleep...or something...I can't remember... ANYWAYS, nobody gets to make someone flake out on my interview!"
"I think Aiko managed to convince her it's Harry that forced you to not go to the interview. Meaning she doesn't think you choice to skip out." Alice whispered to Sky.
Sky let out a sigh of relief,"I do not want to be on the receiving end of that girl."
"I'm really sorry, but Sky came to talk to me." Harry said,"I really don't remember any of this." He put up a surprisingly good act.
"I don't trust you!" Kay said,"Now I'm going to take Sky and do my interview, and there's nothing you can do about it!"
"You know what, fine." Harry took a close look at Kay for a moment,"I was almost finished talking with her anyways."
"Alright, that's good enough." Kay said,"Now then, Sky, follow me, mysterious kid, shoo!" She was surprisingly commanding, and had already started to walk back towards the school.
Harry walked away.
"Al-alright." Sky said, following.
Alice had been laughing at the encounter, but then said,"That was close. We were lucky Kay showed up. Next time we've got to be more careful."
Sky nodded, but as Kay was leading the way she didn't notice. They arrived at the third grade classroom that she had found Kay in last night. On a desk, there was a pencil and notepad already prepared. Aiko was nowhere to be seen, she'd presumably already escaped from Kay.
"Alright then, interview time." Kay said, not wasting a moment of time,"Question one, What are your favorite things to do?"
"Oh, ummmm," Sky stalled to try to think something.
"I'm writing down everything, even your awkward pauses." Kay said with a chuckle.
"Eep!" Sky closed her mouth. Alright then, she thought to herself, don't be shy, just tell the truth.
Alice cheered her on,"You can do it Sky!"
"Okay, I like to explore, and hang out with my Sis, Aiko." Sky said.
"Cool, that's good enough." Kay said,"Question 2. What's your favorite subject in school?"
Sky thought for a moment,"Probably history. I like knowing how things happened and how they became like they are now."
"Good, good, next question. What's your favorite thing about this school in particular?"
"I guess, I like how big it is." Sky said,"There's so many people and so much to do, plus there's a lot to explore and find."
"That's a good answer. Question 4. What's your favorite food, color, and season?"
"Isn't that more than one question?" Sky asked.
"They're all simple enough, aren't they?" Kay replied,"Just answer the question."
"Fine, fine, I get it. Food, is, hmmm, I like French fries. Color is blue, like the sky. And that makes it like my name," She chuckled a bit,"Season is spring, I like seeing the flowers blossom and stuff."
Kay smiled,"Got it. Next question. What would you say defines you as who you are? This ones a little more tricky."
Sky looked over at Alice, who smiled back at her,"I'm sure you can come up with a good answer without my help." She told Sky.
Sky thought for a bit,"I think it's, always trying to be able to smile at the end of the day. I always have my sister and people by my side to help me out. And because of that, things find a way to turn out all right. I like that. Things being all right."
"That's a great answer. A lot of people can't tell me the truth with that question." Kay said,"Alright then, last question."
Sky nodded,"I'm ready."
"What's one thing you'd like to tell the whole school?" Kay asked.
Alice looked at her again,"Just say how you feel."
Sky thought for a bit,"I'd like to tell them, that I know I'm a bit weird, but that I'm still another kid. And that I want to try to get along with everyone better in the future."
"Perfect!" Kay said,"Here we go, just gotta make a headline,'Interview with the Exciting Sky Endo! The truth behind that shy and strange exterior!' And done. Make sure to grab a copy of the newspaper it's in." She solicited to Sky.
"Oh, uh, okay." Sky said.
"Thank you very much." Kay violently shook Sky's hand,"That's all I needed."
"Alright then, bye." Sky said, walking out of the classroom, a bit frazzled.
"You did it Sky, that was great!" Alice said to her as they walked out of school.
"Was it?" Sky replied quietly.
"Yep! I bet it'll start you making new friends! Plus, now we got to talk to Harry, and do the interview. Best of both worlds, yay!" Alice said happily.
"Although, it is almost... 4! I better get home otherwise Mom and Dad might start worrying!" Sky ran out of school.
Alice flew next to her,"Let's get going then!"
--------
And so ends that excited, and tiring day, for Sky Endo. Will there be another encounter with Harry? How will the school react to that newspaper article? Will Ryan ever actually appear? Will there be another character transformation? Perhaps you'll find out, next time on The Adventures of Sky Endo (and Alice)!(I just did both lol...) uniduckface
