Last time on The Adventures of Sky Endo (and Alice): Sky and Aiko's Mother, Kyoko Endo, who had previous experience with being a magical girl, discovering the existence of Alice, and Sky and Aiko both learned a bit, and she supported them. After that, there was a mysterious appearance of a strange animal, but neither Sky nor Aiko knew anything about that. Now, once Sky finally gets to school, what exactly will happen?
--------
"Sky, don't fall asleep!" Alice said, as she pulled on Sky's cheek to her awake.
"I already was late, who cares?" Sky said drowsily, her eyes drooping, she clearly can't handle it.
"We have to find clues today, remember!" SLAP! Alice slapped Sky straight across the face.
"Eep!" Sky shot up out of her chair for a moment, and she could hear Aiko laughing from another part of the classroom.
"Is something wrong, Sky?" Their teacher said, looking straight at her.
"Uh, n-nope. No-nothing." Sky slowly sat back down into her seat.
"Are you okay, you look exhausted. Do you need to see the nurse?" He asked her.
"Nope, perfect. Absolutely perfect." Sky said.
"Um, alright." He said, and then the class returned to normal, although Sky was certain she heard people quietly teasing her.The rest of class until lunch passed normally, aside from Sky almost falling asleep a good 20 times, just never having as big a reaction as that first time.
"Alright, now's our chance! Let's see if we can find that boy." Alice said.
Sky nodded, although she couldn't do anything more if only to avoid attracting attention.
As she headed through the cafeteria, she tried to remember the boys features. But so much was obscured by his clothes. She knew he had black hair, but that was it.
"I hate to admit it, but I'm not sensing any other guardian characters." Alice said,"So either that boy's can hide his presence somehow, or he isn't here."
Sky nodded again, looking around more. She hoped somehow she could tell when she found the person though. Even if she couldn't remember how he looked like, maybe there was something else? His guardian character, transformation, and powers. All of them had to do with acting. So... perhaps she could think of something related to that. She was getting lost in her thoughts and plans, when...
"Sky, Sky, over there, look over there!" Alice said, pointing over towards a boy with black hair and an untouched lunch next to him, rather he was sketching in some sort of notebook.
"Huh? Oh, that does look suspicious. Perhaps he's our suspect." Sky said, a little bit too loudly, some heads turned over towards her, and she immediately tried to shrink down and disappear. Another point for everyone thinking I'm crazy, she thought to herself.
"Come on, don't just stand there!" Alice said, she flew a bit closer, but stayed a bit far away, knowing that boy could probably see her if she was right.
Sky nodded, starting to walk a bit. But her face was still blushing at how she had spoke without thinking. She'd have to get better when taking Alice to school again for something like this. Especially if she had to take Alice with her when things get dangerous. She walked closer to the boy, Alice stayed back, but he didn't seem to notice, he seemed engrossed in his drawing. Sky walked even a bit closer, so that she could be certain, but what she saw was confirmation of her theory.
In the notebook, the boy was drawing a bunch of sketches of Sky herself, each with a different emotion clear in each sketch. There was happy Sky, sad Sky, confused Sky, angry Sky, and he seemed to be drawing more sketches as well.
Sky was clearly annoyed at this. Although she knew that this must be the same kid from last night, the fact that he was drawing pictures of her was more than a little creepy,"Hey you! What are you doing!" Sky said loudly, trying to draw his attention.
He turned his head to her, but he was still drawing at the same time. Clearly he knew what he was doing. Or maybe it was he'd just drawn Sky enough times by this point,"Oh, it's you." He didn't sound surprised or anything.
"Why are you drawing pictures of me!l!?" Sky asked angrily.
"You look interesting. I think you could be a perfect character in a play with a few touch ups." He said, still not really giving anything away.
"Stop acting so calm!" Sky said.
"You'll get the teachers mad." He said, looking back down to his drawings.
"But, you were doing all those bad things last night!" Sky said.
"You don't have proof." He said.
"Yeah, but..." Sky couldn't think of anything else to say.
"And nobody else can back you up." He said.
"Well, I can still get you in trouble for drawing all these pictures. It looks like you've been stalking me!" Sky said.
"And that'll help you how?" He asked, not looking up.
"Well, uh, you'll get in trouble, and..." Again, Sky was caught in a corner.
"Look, if you want to talk, we can do it after school. Still, I'd prefer to draw in peace." He said.
"But you're..."
"Right now, I'm just a student. Just like you." He said.
"Argh!" Sky turned around and stormed off. She could hear students whispering rumors and gossip around her.
"Wow, with how weird those two are, you think they'd get along." One guy said.
"Well, Sky's just kinda dumb. Harry's mysterious and dreamy." A girl replied.
Sky clenched her fists.
"You know, that Sky really needs to learn to keep her emotions in check."
She started walking out of the room faster, only managing to look angry. She ran into the girl's bathroom, and looked over at Alice, who had followed her,"How am I supposed to make friends when everyone thinks I'm weird?" She asked.
"They only talk like that because they've only seen that side of you, Sky." Alice said,"If you show them you're more than just that, I'm sure they'll believe you."
"But they've always seen me like this." Sky looked down.
"That's just a wall, Sky!" Alice said,"If you're afraid of how people feel about you, only you can change that. And if you can't do it just yet, that's why I'm here."
"To help me be who I want to be." Sky said, smiling and nodding.
"Yep!" Alice flew around happily for a moment.
Then, Kay walked in,"Um, Sky, were you talking to the mirror?"
Sky immediately turned to face her in shock, part of her wanted to run away, but this is exactly what she had to face,"W-well, kind of. Ummm," come on Sky, think of an excuse,"I was practicing jokes to try to tell my class."
"Oh yeah, I remember you said some similar things last night. That felt like you were talking to someone who wasn't there." Kay smiled slightly,"It was kinda funny to hear."
"Oh, uh, was it...?" Sky laughed awkwardly.
"You know, I've heard some things about you in my class." Kay said,"You seem interesting."
"Is that a compliment?" Sky asked, somewhat nervously.
"Hehe, kinda. You know, you think you could have time for an interview?" Kay's eyes started to sparkle.
"An interview?" Sky asked.
"Yeah! Like after school. Maybe we could get it into the school newspaper too. I'll have you know I'm a great writer for my age!" Kay said happily.
"Ummm," Sky wasn't sure what to say.
"Say,'I'll do it!'" Alice whispered into Sky's ear.
"I'll do it!" Sky proceeded to say.
Kay eyes seemed almost covered in sparkles,"Really?! That's great! After school then, it's a promise!"
"Oh, uh, right! I guess." Sky said, she started to walk out of the bathroom.
"Thanks a bunch!" Kay said.
After Sky left the bathroom, Alice flew up to her,"See, with my help, that wasn't that hard."
"Well, I guess not." Sky said quietly,"But wait, I also wanted to meet with that boy, the bad guy, ummm..."
"I think his name's Harry." Alice pointed out.
"Both of those would be happening after school!" Sky suddenly realizes.
"Well, I guess you'll have to choose then." Alice said.
"Ahhhhh." Sky started mumbling to herself, unsure whether to go after Harry, find out his plan, or do the interview with Kay, probably make a friend, and maybe get published in the school newspaper. Although that was scary sounding, it could also try to show the school that other side of her Alice was talking about. Both of them seemed like good options,"Argh! How do I choose!"
"You're getting loud again, Sky." Alice pointed out, as faces turned to look at her.
"Argh..." Sky said quietly, looking down a bit again.
"Well, I'm sure you'll make the right choice. And, either way, it's not like your reputation could get much worse at this point." Alice joked.
"I hate you Alice." Sky grumbled.
---------
Now, what will Sky choose? Will she go after the villain, or will she meet with the young 3rd grader she saved? Will her reputation actually get any worse? And just what were Harry's drawings for? Perhaps you'll find out, next time on The Adventures of Sky Endo (and Alice)!uniduckface (because friendship.)
