Ryan heard the news as he was heading back via train. Momo committed suicide. Even he knew well enough that it was a cover story. Momo would never do that. And Kyoko was injured by the fall as well. Needless to say he texted and attempted to call her as many times as he could. He was certain she wouldn't answer. He knew what it was like. But, she was injured as well. She couldn't fight in that state. So he could find her. And help. He could fight too now. He could save her now. He looked down at the briefcase by his seat, holding the evoker inside it. It would change everything. Kyoko had lost her friends and family to monsters. And he had been unable to do anything. But that's changed now. Next time, he'll be the one to fight. Maybe he would die too. But it would be in place of Kyoko. He would at least have a heroes death. But no! He didn't want to die. Kyoko couldn't take that. He wasn't sure how strong he was now, he'd never been able to use the evoker. But he would still find a way. To protect Kyoko. He couldn't die. The train started to slow to a stop. He'd reached his destination. Now to find Kyoko.
--------
She would be at the hospital. He knew that much. But as he walked up to the large white building, he felt a sense of fear. He was afraid to talk to her, on some level. He clenched the briefcase in his hand. He could be a hero now. So why was he afraid? She would be okay. She had to be. Yeah, you can do this.

Ryan walked inside. He headed up to the woman at the front desk.
"Hello. Why are you here?" The woman asked.
"I'd like to visit a friend of mine, Kyoko Sakura. Visiting hours aren't over, right?" Ryan asked.
"Let me check real quick." The woman said, looking through her computer,"I'm sorry, but we're only allowing her family to visit currently."
"Could I write something then? A letter for her?" Ryan asked, acting normal. He'd wanted to talk to her face to face. It could make a lot more sense that way.
"Well, I suppose." She said.
"Do you have paper and a pen I could borrow?" Ryan asked.
"Oh, um, here." He was handed a page out of a notepad for the hospital, and one of their pens,"Return it please once your done."
"Thank you." Ryan said.
He sat down at a chair, his briefcase on his lap to function as a place to write cleanly on.
He started to write.
Dear Kyoko,
This is Ryan Endo. He paused for a moment, unsure what to start with. He thought back to his darkest times. What would he have liked to hear then? I know it must be hard for you. You've lost too many people close to you too quickly. But, I want you to know I'm here for you. I've been trying to think how to help you. Because I... He paused again. He wondered how to say this. He needed to explain it to her. How he's changed, how he could help her now. But, would she let him. She'd try to do it alone. No matter what he wrote. But, Ryan couldn't let that happen. It's part of the reason he wanted to talk in person. Then, all he could do was say what he could. His pen started to move again. know everything. Momo didn't commit suicide. I'm sure of that. Because I'm sure both of you had powers. I bet Sayaka did too. You've been fighting. I can tell when I see and hear you. You've been exhausted, and sound scared so much. It's worried me so much. I don't want you to have to deal with it alone. I've found a way to change too. I can have powers now, just like you. So please, let me help you. I, I can't let you be hurt again. You can't fight all alone. I bet you feel alone now. But, I can be by your side now. Please, let me be by your side. I want to protect you too.
Ryan paused again, right at the end. He'd written all he needed to say. Now he just needed to figure it out how to finish it. He thought for a moment, and then realized the answer was obvious. He thought back to Kyoko. The times they spent together. He was almost shocked he didn't realize it sooner. And he finished his letter.
Love,
Ryan Endo

He looked down at the paper in his hand, as he returned the pen. For the first time, he realized it was wet. In face, he could see drops of water over quite a few places. He had been crying. He didn't even realize it until this moment.
"Are you okay?" The attendant asked, as he walked back up to the front desk.
"Yeah." Ryan said, wiping his face,"I'm fine. Just, take this to Kyoko, when she has the chance. And please don't read it."
"It's okay. I can tell when a letter written for a girl should be private." She said.
Ryan blushed,"T-thanks." He said,"For the pen and paper." He walked out of the hospital. He would visit her as soon as he could, he decided. But for now, that letter would have to do.

Ryan sat in his small room, his bed on one side, a clothes hamper on the other. Against his closet lied his spear, and in his hand he held his evoker. He aimed it at his head, his breathing heavy. He knew it wouldn't even activate in here, only in otherworldly areas could it work. But still, attempting to pull the trigger was difficult. His hand holding it was shaking like crazy. The idea of shooting himself was too terrifying. But, when he went with Kyoko, he would have to. To summon his persona. He thought about Kyoko. He removed his thoughts about himself, and just focused on her. She would be what he would protect, what he needed to protect. And focusing on that, he pulled the trigger.
