One Last Day

This is a little thing based on me beating Summon Night 5. Because I like writing fan epilogues to games nobody but me has played. I know I'm only doing a few members of the supporting cast here, but it's the ones I used for my playthrough. Also not Spinel because I did her in-game ending.
--------
"Pleeeeeeease, you're going to be leaving tomorrow. The Bar Master needs one last hurrah. The entirety of Savorle would be thankful." Lorah asked desperately.
Arca sighed,"Look, first of all, there's no way the entirety of Savorle even knows about me. Second, I'd rather do my work as a Summoner on the last day before I leave."
"You'll have plenty of time for that if you take a short shift. Plus, after the whole nether thing it's all been really calm, hasn't it?" Lorah said.
"Yeah, that may be true." Arca conceded.
"Well, I already told some of your friends that you'd be doing it this morning. So if they show up and you aren't here..." Lorah dragged out the words.
"You are such a fiend!" Arca said, of course, that was completely literal as well,"But I can't let anyone who comes in for my coffee down."
"You always use such underhanded tactics to force Big Sister to do this." Spinel said, looking a bit annoyed at Lorah.
"Oh please, if I didn't do this today, I'd never be able to do it again." Lorah said.
"People will start pouring in soon, we better get prepared now." Arca said, starting to prep everything.
"Oh, right!" Spinel said, beginning to help out as well.

"Hey, Arca. Guess the info was right. Although I'd bet you were forced into this, weren't you?" Abert walked into the cafe.
"Heheh, yeah, kinda. I assume you want what you usually have?" Arca asked, already grabbing the certain beans she knew Abert liked.
"Yeah. It's my favorite, after all." Abert said.
"So, what's happening with you?" Arca asked.
"Unfortunately, I've had no lack of work. The Silvalier is going crazy with search for any remnants of Nether."
"Well, Eucross is too. They want to get rid of all of it before I leave." Arca said.
"Right...you're leaving tomorrow." Abert looked downcast for a bit.
"Don't be sad. I'll find ways to keep in contact." Arca said.
"I'm sure about that. Still, things won't be the same without you." Abert said,"Even in the Silvalier, you made quite a name for yourself. Because you always kept me away from other work."
"Well, I do have to keep thanking you for all of your help." Arca said.
"Please, you know I'll do it anytime. Although...I haven't told you about the biggest problem Silvalier's been dealing with now." Abert said.
"What is it?" Arca asked.
"To put it a single name...Atosh. We've been unable to get him back into jail." Abert said.
"Oh...sorry about that." Arca said.
"No, I get what you did, despite the pain it's been causing me now." Abert said,"We needed his help."
"Are you sure he isn't just out of the city by now?" Arca asked.
"No. But that's part of the problem. Plus, any pieces of Crimson Chain are being hunted too." Abert said.
"Well, that sucks, but, in good news...your coffee is done!" Arca said,"Here you go."
"Oh, thanks. This'll help me get through the day." Abert said.
"This might be the last time we see each other before I leave." Arca realized.
"Maybe." Abert replied,"I won't be surprised if they throw me onto another stakeout tonight that will go until after you leave."
"Then, I suppose I should say my goodbyes now." Arca said.
"Well, we'll be seeing each other whenever you get back. So it's not like it's goodbye forever." Abert said.
"Of course, of course. But depending on how things go, it could take a year or more." Arca said.
"It's so like you to decide to go around the world letting places experiment on and test your powers." Abert said.
"It's not safe for me and Spinel to be the only way to deal with Nether." Arca said,"We need to be able to understand that light."
"Hopefully we won't have to deal with it again regardless." Abert said.
"I hope so too. But I need to make sure nobody ends up like Erst or Ghift again." Arca said.
"Do you still blame yourself?" Abert asked.
"Huh?" Arca feigned ignorance.
"Look, don't lie to me. I bet you still wish you could've saved them." Abert said.
"I mean, of course I do. But I've accepted...at least done the best I could...that what happened was what had to." Arca said.
"Then, so long as you keep on doing what you're doing now, things will be all right." Abert said,"You've done what you needed to make up for it, and now you're continuing working to stop Nether. You're doing more than enough."
"Thanks, Abert." Arca said.
"Well, I've got my job to deal with." Abert said,"So, I doubt I can stay and talk here any longer."
"Of course. I don't want you to get in trouble for talking to me too long." Arca said.
"So, goodbye. Just for now, hopefully." Abert said.
"Yeah. Goodbye." Arca said.
--------
"Senior! Senior, you're here!" Arca recognized that voice immediately, as she saw Ruelly run into the room, Primo holding on to her hat desperately, before hopping down onto the ground.
"Oh, hi Ruelly." Arca said happily, while she gave a Maetropan native a coffee she had made.
"So, what's up?" Ruelly asked.
"What do you think? I'm just being an incredibly overworked barista." Arca said.
"Well, you are the Bar Master." Ruelly said,"You can't expect anything else."
"I guess. So, same thing as always?" Arca asked.
"No. This time, I want to have one of your real coffees! Since it'll be the last time, I want to have something like what Yeng-hua or Souken has." Ruelly said.
"You sure you can handle that?" Arca asked, sounding somewhat skeptical.
"I've fought monsters on the moon, I can handle anything!" Ruelly said.
"Alright. But you aren't getting a refund if it's too much for you. And, what about you, Primo?" Arca looked at the bunny.
"Cuwee, cuwee! (Same as always, please, Bar Master.)" Primo said.
"Alright." Arca relayed the order to Spinel,"So, how's your training going?" She asked Ruelly.
"Well...I'm still going to the Academy. I have to learn about history still, which sucks. I have a Cross already, and I fought with you, but they still won't let me become a real Summoner." Ruelly complained.
"Cuwee. (We're good enough already.)" Primo agreed.
"You have to be a well-rounded person to be a Summoner." Arca said.
"I don't understand how you could ever graduate with the grades you did. Noe still gets better grades than I do." Ruelly said.
"Well, I bet all the time helping me affected your time for schoolwork, so I'm sorry about that." Arca said.
"Are you kidding?! Every hour I was able to spend helping you or being a Summoner Apprentice were the best hours of my life. Especially since it was with you, Senior. Just now that things are calm again, it's back to school." Ruelly said.
"Well, I'm sure you'll make it. Primo can help you too." Arca said.
"Cuwee! (Definitely!)" Primo said.
"I know, I know. If you're confident in me, Senior, I'll find a way. But, you're leaving so soon. What if I need your help for stuff?" Ruelly asked.
"Bug Calis or something. Or Souken if you have time for a lecture." Arca said.
"But none of them are as good as you are!" Ruelly said.
"Well, there's definitely stuff that both of them are better than me at. I'm still getting chewed out by Souken every time I see him, after all." Arca said.
"Yeah, but none of them are you, Senior!" Ruelly said,"You've always been able to find time for me and stuff." She sounded a bit downcast.
"Cuwee, cuwee. (Don't be sad, I'll always be here.)" Primo cuddled against Ruelly's leg.
"Well, even when I'm far away, if you become a Summoner, you could contact me using the thousand-eye." Arca said.
"You're right!" If it was possible, a lightbulb would've appeared above Ruelly's head.
"Cuwee? (What are you thinking?)" Primo asked.
"I'm going to become the best Summoner I can. And when you get back, I'll already have surpassed you! There will be even more legends about me than about you!" Ruelly said, sounding determined.
"Good luck with that. And, speaking of good luck, here you go." Arca handed Ruelly the coffee she had made,"You'll need that luck to get through this. And, here's yours, Primo." She gave Primo an extra small cup for the bunny.
"Cuwee. (Thank you.)" Primo said.
"I can do this." Ruelly said, taking a sip,"I need to understand this, because I'm even going to surpass you in making coffee."
"As much as I'd like to cheer you on, I don't think that's possible." Arca said, a hint of pride in her voice,"Just focus on becoming a real Summoner first of all."
"I'll prove you wrong. Just like how I can do this." Ruelly said, starting to drink the coffee faster.
"Slow down it's too hot!" Arca warned, but it was too late.
"Owwwwww...I think I burned my tongue." Ruelly said.
"Cuwee! (Rabbit heal!)" Primo said, casting a small healing spell.
"Ahh, much better. Thanks a bunch, Primo." Ruelly said, patting her Cross's head.
"Cuwee! (Anytime!)" Primo responded, enjoying being pet.
"Drink that a little slower." Arca said,"It's not what you usually get."
"I know, I know. I've learned my lesson." Ruelly said.
"Cuwee...(Um, Ruelly...)" Primo suddenly said.
"Huh? What is it?" Ruelly asked.
"Cuwee. (If we stay any longer, you'll be late to your next class.)" Primo said.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Senior, I've got to go." Ruelly said.
"It's alright. You still lose track of time easily, don't you." Arca said.
"I guess. Primo really helps with that. So, this is rather sudden, but, bye, Senior! If I don't see you before you leave, the next time we meet, I'll be an incredible Summoner, you hear me?"
"Yep." Arca said, smiling at Ruelly,"I'll be waiting for that day."
--------
"Oh, Yeng-Hua! I see you back there. Come on, I'm sure you're here to order something." Arca called out, seeing her sitting at a nearby table by herself.
It took Yeng-Hua a moment to snap out of her thoughts and hear Arca,"Oh, right." She walked over.
"So, same thing as always?" Arca asked.
"Yeah, sure." Yeng-Hua replied.
"So, what have you been doing since the battle? I haven't had time to talk to you." Arca asked.
"Well, I'm dealing with...the consequences of my actions." Yeng-Hua said.
"Consequences...what are you talking about?" Arca asked.
"Right...I never told you, since I didn't want to cause you any more worries. When I decided to help you fight in that last battle...my position in the Ouka Devision was taken away." Yeng-Hua explained.
"Wha-what?! You're right I never did hear about this!" Arca said, clearly shocked.
"Are...are you mad?" Yeng-Hua was caught off guard by that sudden outburst.
"No. If anything, I'm a bit happy. Not that you lost your position of course, that's terrible. But if you decided to help me over your own job, it's clear how you've changed." Arca said,"You really are more like Abert now."
"I don't think I've gone through a day recently where someone hasn't compared me to that...normal policeman." Yeng-Hua said.
"It's because the comparison fits. You have changed." Arca said.
Yeng-Hua just sighed.
"I think it's for the better though." Arca said,"Now you're way easier to talk to. And easier to work with as well."
"I suppose that's true. But with what I've done...it'll be strange going back to the division." Yeng-Hua said.
"Are you going to be leaving Savorle too?" Arca asked.
"Yeah. It'll be a long time before I get my badge back, at least if all the official requirements are followed. I've got to go back to Headquarters, as soon as I can." Yeng-Hua said,"If I was truly trying to get my badge back immediately, I would already have left."
"But you're still here. You at least couldn't resist getting my coffee one last time." Arca said.
"Well, I've been helping the Silvalier here still. And besides, it wouldn't have felt right to leave without saying goodbye to everyone." Yeng-Hua said.
"Well, I'll be leaving tomorrow, going to a whole load of different places. Maybe we'll see each other again during that time." Arca said.
"I doubt it. But that would be nice." Yeng-Hua said.
"Although, I'm certain, after what you've done, you'll become a Special Knight again in no time. Without you, we might have not been able to stop Ghift and save this world." Arca said,"There's no way getting a position you have already had will be difficult."
"I hope you're right...But, if there's one thing me having changed won't help, it is that position." Yeng-Hua said.
"Are you saying every single woman in the Ouka Division is how you were when you first arrived?" Arca asked,"Because that doesn't seem likely."
"No. But, I'm not sure if how I am now will make me seem worthy anymore." Yeng-Hua said.
"If anything thinks you're worse now then how you were before, I'll punch them in the face! Well, not literally, since I'll be off doing my own things, but, you know what I mean, I hope." Arca said,"And, also, here's your coffee."
"Oh, thanks." Yeng-Hua said.
"So...anything else to talk about?" Arca asked.
"Not really. I'm still not the type to just have a friendly chat that goes on for way longer than necessary with." Yeng-Hua said,"I'll limit my pointless speaking still."
"Oh...right." Arca said,"Well, then, it was nice talking to you."
"Since you're leaving tomorrow, I'll probably see if I can leave around the same time. So you can say any last thoughts you have then." Yeng-Hua said.
"Oh, that sounds nice." Arca replied,"So, I'm guessing you're going to leave now, then?"
"Yes. Thank you for the coffee." Yeng-Hua said.
"You're welcome. Then, see you tomorrow, hopefully." Arca said, as Yeng-Hua left.
--------
"That was a lot of work." Arca said.
"Plus, time flew by." Spinel said.
"We...didn't have a meeting today, right?" Arca asked.
"No. Since we're leaving tomorrow, they aren't going to thrust a new mission on us that might take more than a day." Spinel said.
"Good. We would've been really been late then." Arca said.
"You really helped me out there, Bar Master." Lorah said,"Now I can see the kind of business I'll never have again."
"Well, you're lucky every time I help. I really need to go do my job. One last day as a Summoner, before I leave. I've got to visit all the places I like, and see all the friends I've made. And I'd like to go fishing if there's time." Arca said, rambling a bit.
"Sounds like you have a lot to do today, then." Lorah said,"Well, I guess, I won't stop you anymore."
"Then, bye." Arca said,"Come on, Spinel. There's a lot on our plate." She started to leave.
"Alright, Big Sister. I'll make sure to stay with you the whole time." Spinel said, floating behind her.
"Perfect." Arca replied, and the two of them left the bar, ready to take in some of the sights of Savorle for the last time in a while.
