The Adventures of Sky Endo (And Alice) -2-

Yay, Adventure 2! I imagine this to take place about a week after adventure 1.

"Alright, I've finished our plan!" Alice said excitedly, showing off her map to Sky.
"Ummm, it's too small for me to read..." Sky admits, trying to squint and see it.
"Oh, well then, I'll just explain it." Alice said,"We're going to investigate the school at night! You know, because, there's all those rumors."
"But couldn't that be scary?" Sky said, slightly worried.
"Come on, you'll be fine! You have me on your side!" Alice said,"Together we can get through everything!"
"But, what if Mom and Dad find out I left at night. They'd ground me foreeever." Sky said.
"Nonsense! We can sneak out and back in and nobody will notice. You can be quiet, and nobody but your sister and I can see or hear me." Alice said.
"But, well..." Sky started.
"Uh uh." Alice shook her head,"I know you're a bit scared, but you've also always dreamed of doing this. Don't you want to do it at least once before you go to middle school?"
"Well, yeah. But let's wait for a night when Mom and Dad are away." Sky said,"That way we won't get caught."
"Alright." Alice nodded,"We can do that. I'm sure there's other adventures we can go on until then."
"Yeah, of course there will be!" Sky said,"You know, I've never taken you to the park, have I? I bet you'd have all kinds of fun there! Or a theme park. That'd be even better!"
"What kinds of stuff can we do there?" Alice asked, looking at her map for these places.
"Well, we can climb all over things, see the whole city from on top of a hill, and even dig for treasure at a park. And at a theme park, they have all sorts of crazy exciting rides! Unfortunately, I'm too short to go on any of the cooler ones." Sky looked down for a bit, before going back to normal,"But it's still a ton of fun!"
"Wow, sounds cool! You'll have to take me, and soon!" Alice said, and she looked down at her map,"Alright, alright. There's a park, right nearby! I bet we'll have a ton of fun together! I can't wait to go!"
"Yeah! I'll ask my parents if we can go have a picnic at one soon!" Sky said.
"A Pick-Nick?" Alice asked,"What's that?"
"Oh, it's where you get soon food and go somewhere and eat outside. Families and friends often do it together." Sky said.
"What does Nick have to do with that?" Alice asked, unaware of the actual word.
"Oh no, that's silly. It's picnic. One word. No Nick is involved." Sky said.
"Oh, okay." Alice chuckled nervously,"Whoops."
"Hey Alice, how does that map of yours work?" Sky asked,"How can you plan so much on such a small map?"
"Oh that's simple! It's magic. It can show me anywhere nearby that we could possibly visit." Alice said.
"Wow, magic. It's really real." Sky said.
"Yep. And I can use it!" Alice said, a bit of pride in her voice,"In the future, we might even be able to use it together."
"What do you mean?" Sky asked.
Alice chuckled,"You'll find out someday."
"Well, alright." Sky said,"Then, are there more fairies like you?" She continued asking Alice questions.
"Yep. But we're pretty sneaky. We only show ourselves to kids who need help following their dreams." Alice said,"Although, if you do meet another person with a guardian character, they'll be able to see me."
"Wow. Do you think Sis has one?" Sky asked.
"Certainly. But it's still sleeping in her heart until she's needed." Alice said.
"So, do we think we could make it come out?" Sky asked,"I wonder what her guardian character would be?"
"Huh, I don't know? Maybe we could try sometime." Alice said,"But maybe not."
"Why not?"
"Guardian characters don't really need to appear for those who don't need help yet." Alice said.
"Does that mean, I needed help?" Sky asked.
"Yes. I could feel it in your heart. Your dreams were starting to fall apart. Don't you remember what I first asked you when I appeared?" Alice said.
"Oh yeah," her mind drifted back to the day they met.
'Hello! I'm Alice! Hey Sky, what are your dreams?' She had said.
'Dreams, huh...I want to be just like my Mom and Dad! They used to do so many cool things. But, um, maybe I'm still too small. Kinda like you. Do you think so? That maybe I'd be better off just quietly doing my schoolwork, instead of getting into trouble? Um, um, but...I don't know... Wait! Why am I telling all this to you?!' Sky said.
'Because I'm you! Your Guardian Character! And I'm going to help you follow your dreams! With my help, you'll be going on adventures with tons of friends!' Alice said.
Sky drifted back to the present,"Oh yeah. Well you really have helped. Although, I still need help with the friends part."
"It's okay! That will happen soon, I promise! It's my duty to help you!" Alice said.
"Thanks, Alice. I think I'm one friend ahead already, thanks to you." Sky smiled, even if Alice was just part of her, she was still a real friend. Someone Sky had been looking for. So, she was certain they'd go on all sorts of adventures together.
Alice tilted her head a bit. Who was Sky talking about? Well, if she was happy about this, that's what matters.

And that's Adventure 2. Still no adventures. Plus this was a more emotional and less funny chapter. But I want these stories to be sweet too. So that's what I went for with this one. I promise there will be a real adventure in the next one! Probably...
