DUN DUN DUN!!! THIS MIGHT JUST BE GREY. . . NOT EXACTLY GIVING YOU ANY IDEAS ON WHAT HE LOOKS LIKE HUH? KINDA MYSTERIOUS, HE IS. I HAVE HIGH EXPECTATIONS FOR HIM!!! COME ON!! MAKE MOMMY PROUD!!!!
"W-why are you here!?" I hear Abbey yell. It seems that she beat Katie. Grey doesn't answer. Go figure. He puts his hands out and the blueness is surrounding it again. I cling to the tree like a lifeline. It happens again. Abbey is lifted off of the ground into the sky.
"Not fair!" I hear her yell. "You never said you were a Mage!" My eyes widen. Magic? Theres such a thing? Impossible! But then again, how can I deny it when it's being performed right in front of me.
Now or never Scarlet!
I grab my sword and rush to him. He expertly blocks it, with one hand, of course.
"It really is a shame. . ." He says. My eyes widen at his voice. "That we are enemies." He pushes my swords so hard that it flings onto the floor right next to me. I bend down to pick it up but I trip over a stupid root. Im on my back now, staring up at him with eyes as big as the moon. He points his sword to my throat and I swallow. I know that this might be only practice, that i'm in no serious danger, but still. . . my heart is pounding in my chest like its never before.
He bends down, still keeping the sword at my throat. I stare at him head on.
"If this was a real battle," He whispers. My mouth quivers. He opens his eyes and I blink. They are a vast Gray. Almost a steel, in fact.
"You'd.be.dead." He emphasizing each word harshly. I stare up at him, completely speechless.
"Wha-"
He lifts the point of the sword, and brings everyone down slowly. Bruce touches the ground, in disbelief. Abbey stares at Grey harshly.
Anger and a mix of something else goes through me. I jump up and grab his sleeve.
"Stop it!" I yell. "Who the heck are you? What did you just do to them? What do you mean, Enemy? I thought everyone was supposed to be allies."
He turns around and stares at me. Studies me like you might do to a wild animal.
"I am Grey. One of the best Mages in the world. Understand?"
I let go of his sleeve and frown. "Magic?" I ask. He turns around and walks away, leaving me completely speechless.
"Scarlet!" Katie and Ben run over. They pause to look at Grey, who walks past them without saying a word.
"What happened?" Katie asks. She looks around us, only to see stunned faces.
"Not much," I say. "Only a tornado passing through."
"What happened here?" Knowledge says. When did she get here? My mind is in full drive. Everyone seems suspicious.
"Grey happened!" I yell. "He's a mage? Magic? What on earth?"
Knowledge shakes her head.
"Not many people on the first wall hear about magic. In fact, very few have ever seen it. Its considered a myth to most. It should remain that way."
I cock my head like a dog. What the heck?
"Nobody is to know of what you have seen. If someone is to find out, they will report you. I have no wish to see myself or anyone get hurt."
Knowledge keeps talking, but I close my eyes for one second. Something happens. A spark of electricity zaps. I see knowledges silhouette, blazing red like the sun. I open my eyes in shock, utterly stunned. Was I seeing things? I can't be that tired, can I? Words come out of my mouth unsure and nervously.
