------LEANING TOWARDS THIS LOOK FOR GREY. THANKS katchat45! U R A LEGIT LIFESAVER!!------ (btw, Imagine him with more. . . muscle lolz)
"Hey!!" I look behind me to see Abbey, running at us. She runs to me and stares, shock in her eyes.
"Are you okay?" She asks.
"Of course," I say. "this happens all the time!" She hugs me. But I notice it, she wants to tell me something.
"We never took the walk," She whispers. "Thats what you say, got it?" We separate and I nod. She had lots of time to think one step ahead of the rest, awesome.
"Um," I say to Abbey. "Can you take this off?" I hold my hands out to her. She takes of the tight belt and I sigh, rubbing my wrists together.
"What happened?" Knowledge asks.
"Well," I say. "We found D- I mean, my horse, and we got it-"
"Until Scarlet fell off, and that explains her face."
I wrinkle my nose at her.
"And these guys, tried to take her horse, which ran off." She continues, "and thought they could take her along, too,"
"So, I told Abbey to leave, because I was. . ." I choose my words slowly, "Confident in my skills," I finish lamely.
We wait a moment.
"Is that so?" Knowledge asks. She looks as if she tries to hide humor in the whole situation.
"Yes," We say together. If a mage can sense fear, we are screwed.
After a while Knowledge sighs. "You remind me too much of her, Scarlet." I look up at her confused.
"You can never get the truth out of a young one, I suppose." She changes the subject, abruptly,
"Uh. . ." I look at her, unsure of what to say.
"Take care of yourself, Scarlet and Abbey. You say you will fight, learn magic, but how will you do that if you fall asleep in the middle of training? It's barely seven in the morning and you've gone through far too much."
"Lets take the horse back to the stables," Abbey suggests. Glad of the opportunity to leave. She walks ahead with Dauntless. I follow and pause.
"Thanks," I say. I blush and run after Abbey.
After telling her what happened, she sighs and shakes her head.
"We should go, sleep for an hour, and then do the days training fully rested."
"We should,"
I look at my horse. It reminds me that Grey and Knowledge still need to put away their horses. The
thought of seeing either of them, especially Grey, makes me nervous.
"Lets go," I say. We walk down the house, and settle in our cots.
"Morning adventures with Abbey," I say, with my eyes closed.
"Right back at you," she says. She calls asleep and I do,too.
"Wake up, sleeping beauty," Katie says. I sign and get up.
"What do you want? It's so early."
"You think? Look out the window."
The sun shines fully on the blue sky. No rain today. Birds chirp and fly around the sky, free and content.
"Funny," Katie says, smiling at the pleasant day. "last night, I had a dream. I dreamed of people talking. The voices sounded so familiar, but I wasn't sure who. They were laughing."
