Four hours of being lost and finally, at what I believe is around midnight, we make it. Katie rubs her forehead and exhales as I point to the house.

"When I was leaving the house, I imagined more. . . cool adventuring, you know?"

"We haven't even gotten in the house and your complaining? Somebody sure is pleasant."

"She's an old lady right? Will she even be awake at this time? Like come on, even we, the night owls are asleep by now."  Katie states as I'm about to knock on her door. Before my knuckles can even touch it, it swings open. We jump back, absolutely terrified.

"I guess you could say i'm no ordinary old person, right?" Knowledge stands at the door, her long gray hair woven back form her face.

"Please don't do that again," I say as she ushers us in.

"Don't be so loud when you get to my door then."

"Like we were," I mumble under my breath. I look to Katie and imagine a somewhat. . . normal expression on her face. Totally off. Her jaw is dropped and her eyes look like saucers.

"This is. . ." She spins around the house. "yours? Thats impossible!" Knowledge chuckles and scratches her chin.

"Something I've learned from my long life is that nothing is as impossible as it seems."

"Uh, sure," Katie says who is obviously in shock.

"Did you girls eat anything?" She asks. I notice that there are now seven chairs at a larger table. Whats up with that?

"We ate, yes," I tell her. "Curse you though! Not giving us directions! You have no idea how hard it was to get to here. . . it took us a whole extra hour to get here!" She laughs at my red face.

"You are so stupid it amuses me!" She laughs silently and then like a sudden wind blowing, she stops. "Poor child. That will all change very soon. I see it so many times, swift, calculated, silent. That is you in the future. Although. . ." She smiles slightly. "You still have to big a heart, child." I remain silent. Another thing I will never understand. I can almost hear Katie smirking, being that I told her Knowledge wasn't crazy.

"What about me, then?" Katie says. "This is kind of fun. Whats my-like- future self?"

"Fun?" Knowledge shakes her head and turns around so that her back faces us. "I see many futures for you," She remains quiet to let that seep in. I remember yelling at Katie in her house, asking her who was talking to me. And if this is how she felt, I feel guilty.

"Tell me the brightest one you see," Katie says with a determination I've never seen before. "because thats the one I plan on living."

"The brightest one?" Knowledge seems almost reluctant to say a word. I feel odd. Is she hiding something?

"A bright future I see of yours. . . you are a leader, a very promising one as well. You don't stick to decisions much though. That can get you in trouble. Just make sure that you don't use that power against your loved ones."

"Well Scarlet obviously got the happier seeming future." When I glare at her, she shrugs. "Just saying!"

"Happiness for yourself is not always  the main thing you should pursue, child."

Knowledge claps her hands together. "Anyways!" She smiles. "I prepared the loft upstairs for the bunch of you. Go get some sleep, tomorrow, we have guests."

"How did you know we would come today?" I ask. It never really struck me before.

"I have my ways. Scat. Leave your bags here though."
