Bed!!! Im in a bed! No more running from snakes! No more screaming at bears! Im in a bed, Im alive!

I wake up before everyone else does, and decide to take my revenge on Katie. After all those times of waking me up . . .  haha.

"Rise and shine!" I yell. She sits up, a nasty look on her face.

"Go away!" She says.

"No," I laugh at her dismay as I push her off the cot. Abbey sits up, alarmed by the noise.

"What are you doing, Scarlet?"

"I can't be awake and all alone, I'm so bored."

"Well, I'm awake now." She states she sits up and rubs her eyes, holding a bit of a grudge to me being that I woke her up from her perfect sleep.

"Tell us," I say to her. "When did you and Ben. .  . you know."

"What? Like each other? Guess it was love at first sight."

"Is that how it usually is?" I ask, trying not to think of Grey.

"I don't know. Ive never loved someone like that before. Guess it all depends."  She shrugs and wraps the blanket tighter around her.

"Where did you get the jacket from, by the way. I swear I've seen it somewhere, just can't put my finger on where."

My heart thuds when I realize she means the jacket Grey gave me. I try to shrug.

"Uh, Knowledge gave it to me for a . . . birthday present."

"That was nice of her," Abbey says. Katie nods.

"That reminds me," Abbey says. "I got you a present. Let me get it." She reaches into her bag of surprises and pulls out a medium sized wrapped package.

"Sorry its not that um, girly, but then again, neither are you."

I unwrap the package and a chain falls onto my lap. I put the rest down and look at it. Its jewelry! A necklace with a key on it. It has a little pink flower pendant next to a pearl one on it. Its beautiful.

"Thank you," I say, breathlessly. I put it around my neck and smile.

"Oh, you know, I figured that it was like the key to your heart or something. Maybe you can give it someone special like-"

I clear my throat and begin opening the rest of the package. Abbey shoots me an innocent smile. And I shake my head. In the rest of the box is a box. Its about a foot wide. When I shake it, I hear things move around. I try to open it but it won't budge.

"Figure it out," She says.

I look under the box, for instructions on how to open it but there is nothing. I cock my head. Thats when I realize how stupid I am. I have a key around my neck, and theres a box with a keyhole. Too easy.

I take the key and insert it into the hole. Perfect fit. I turn it to the left and the box opens, with a little creak. I show my pleasure. Theres some . . . interesting things in the box. For starters, theres a . . . circular piece of bread. I hold it between my fingers, unsure of what to do with it.

"Bread?" I ask her. To my surprise, she starts laughing. Me and Katie look at it, unsure of what to do. There are little brown pieces of . . . something on it.

"You've never seen a cookie?" She asks. She falls off her cot laughing.

"No . . ." I say. "Katie, have you seen one of these before?" I ask.  She look at it, a funny look on her face.
