SO THE SONG ABOVE IS SOMETHING I LISTEN TO WHEN WRITING. . . I JUST THINK IT SOUNDS REALLY NICE :)
Today is the day.
Today is the day.
Oh my goodness.
Today is the day.
We are going to the church to meet a certain woman. Im so nervous.
I put on my shoes, backpack, and am about to put on my sword but laugh at the idea of wearing one in a church. I slip on a skirt and smile sadly. Ive learned a lot about myself. More than I ever thought possible. Im ready for whatever the future has in store for me.
"Ready?" Abbey asks, a nervous smile on.
"To go to church? Of course!"
"Alright!" Bruce comes in as we both shriek and throw pillows at him.
"Get out," I say.
"But I'm so lonely-"
"Get out!" We both say. He laughs and skips out like a little child as we try and conceal our giggles.
Katie walks in the room like she owns the place, a faint smile on her lips.
"Girls," She tips her head to us. I nod and ask her the question on my mind,
"You ready? I can't believe we are doing this. Wasn't it just yesterday you weren't allowed to go out to get food? Yup."
"Wasn't it just yesterday your stubborn self wouldn't eat anything unless you worked for it yourself?" She retorts. I roll my eyes.
"Cuz. I didn't want to bother you guys."
"Bother us?" She laughs. "Okay. Sure."
We walk out of the room, hearts in our shoes, with fake confidence on our faces.
"Hey Babe." Ben comes and kisses Katie. Abbey and I chuckle.
"Babe?" She asks. She makes a puckered face and I crack up.
"Okay okay okay. Sorry!" I laugh even more when Katie sticks her tongue out at me.
"So how long?" She asks me. I look at her, with a confused face. "How long have. . . um, you and Grey. . . . cha cha cha!" MY face heats and she smirks. "Oooohhh!! I got her in her soft spot!"
"Yeah right." I say.
When we got downstairs, Grey is standing there, doing polite conversation with one of the workers I recognize as Linda.
She sees me and her eyes click in recognition.
"Oh. You." She says lamely.
"Oh. . . you." I say just as bored-sounding as her.
"Are you checking out or something? Or would you like to rub your position in my face?"
"Oh please. You don't even have a face. Thats just how ugly you are." Katie says behind me.
"Katie!" We all say.
"Way to be mature," Bruce says.
"And on a Sunday."
A man I know as my biological Father emerges from behind the desk. Great. Here to make me cry? Please don't.
"Father." I stare at him. He stares at me, those eyes I know my Mom used to love pierce me. They pierce my own heart. Memories flush in like a tidal wave at the sight of those eyes. Oh please, make it stop.
