DAUNTLESS THE HORSE UP ABOVE!!! SHE IS SO PRETTY!!!!
After an hour of riding, we finally make it to Katie's house. The familiar landscape almost makes my heart throb. Abbey asked Katie so many questions about her family on the way here, and Katie answered them happily. I took in the landscape, instead.
We tie the horses up in the front of her house. She nods and walks to the door of her house. After consistent knocking for about one minute, we finally get an answer. A middle aged woman holds the door, eyeing us carefully.
"Who are you?" She asks warily. Katie smiles politely.
"My name is Katie. Im the daughter of the person who owns this house. I'm actually here to visit."
"I see," She says. She turns around and yells, "David!" She yells, "Theres a Katie here to see you?" She looks at us and smiles.
I hear a muffled noise. Katie smiles as her Father comes and embraces her into a hug.
"You made it back! I'm so very proud of you, my dear."
"Oh, I wish, Father. We haven't done much yet, I'm afraid."
"I see. Won't you girls sit down? We have much to catch up on and besides, the children have missed you so much, Katie and Scarlet."
"I actually really miss them, sir, it will be refreshing to see them again. I can barely wait!"
"Thats the spirit Scarlet! Now, will somebody tell me who this beautiful comrade of yours is?" He smiles and bows at Abbey she blushes and smiles.
"My name is Abbey. I come from . . ." She glances towards the house sitter, who stands by the door.
"Oh, don't worry. She's a friend. Aren't you, Julie?"
"Don't worry girls." She smiles at us. "Your secrets won't leave this house." They then exchange a smile that makes me want to scream at them to get married.
"Okay!" Abbey says. "I come from the second wall."
"Oh, isn't this an honor!" David says. "I love meeting people from the second wall. They always seem to be more energetic, if you know what I mean?"
"No offence, sir, but the second wall is more energetic! Did you know that civilians these days . . . sometimes you see them with cars!?" She smiles.
"Cars?" I ask, my brows knitted together. "Aren't those motorized military vehicles?"
"That just shows you how advanced we are. It keeps getting better. I hear in the third wall, cars aren't even a big deal."
We all laugh.
"Well, lets all sit down. We have a lot to catch up on and besides, the children would love to see you. Julie, will you wake them up from their naps in oh, fifteen minutes?"
"Of course, David!" We sit down and sigh. Horses are wonderful, I give them that, but after riding on them for a while, your bottom doesn't appreciate the bouncing.
"Tell me," He says, once we have all settled down. "How is life? I hope well."
"Everything is amazing. We train everyday, we get stronger. We have a mission we will be fulfilling soon, but I am ready. We even have horses now."
"That sounds wonderful." He says. "I hope that y-" A thud on the floor interrupts him. Little Noah stands behind us, his toy on the floor.
"Noah!" Katie says. He smiles and runs into her arms.
