Chapter 40

*Camila's pov*

i woke up 3 hours ago. it might sound creepy but I've been watching Shawn sleep. he just looks so peaceful and calm. he looks very cute and i know you would have been doing the same if you were in my place. i finally get up and head to the shower. Shawn and i have our own bathroom each. it's actually not that big of a house if you think about it. 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a game room, a recording room, a small theater room, an inside pool, an outside pool, a dance room, and a garage for our 6 cars. this is all in our 3 story house and it's basement. well maybe it is a bit bigger than i thought. i guess that's why we need 3 maids. i seriously wouldn't be able to keep up with Ella and Ava if i tried to. i can't say i'm used to living here, i grew up in a one story house with 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. it wasn't fun. still i love my family and i wouldn't have changed anything. well maybe i would have added another bathroom. anyway, after a long shower i change and enter Ava and Elly's room. i know i have many nicknames for them. Eleanor is still calmly asleep but Audrey is already up. her eyes are wide open and she smile when she sees me. i can't help but smile back. i pick her up and set her on my hip while i make her a bottle. "mommy, why were you cwying last night?" she asks. "well sometimes people cry because they're happy." i answer and sit her down at the table with me. "oh, can we go to the park?" she asks. "actually, your daddy and i are going on a trip to Canada to see his family. don't you want to come with daddy, Eleanor and i?" i ask. "to Canada? to see nana?" she asks. "yeah and your grandpa" i say. "but Elewnor is asleep" she says. "Eleanor is always asleep" i say and she smiles. "where is daddy?" she asks. "hes asleep too" i answer and grab one of his blueberry muffins from the counter. "not my muffins" says Shawn as he enters the kitchen with Eleanor in his arms. "you scarred me" i say and Audrey laughs. "daddy, we're going to Canada today" yells Audrey. "we are? then i guess we better get going. we don't wanna be late" he says and puts Eleanor down. "come on Audwy" says Eleanor and takes her sister by the hand to their room. "Canada?" he asks. "yeah, i thought you'd want to go" i say. "yeah, i do but you haven't seen your family either." he says while laying his chin on my shoulder. "lets just go" i say.

*a few hours later*

*on plane*

"passengers please remain seated and put on your seat belts. we are now landing." says a voice on the speaker. "c'mon Shawn we're landing, let's get Audrey and Eleanor" i say waking him up. after we get out of the plane and into the airport i let Eleanor down so she won't fall asleep. she holds on to my hand tightly. she doesn't like to be in crowded places. Audrey is holding her hand too because she knows her sister ins't comfortable. the therapist said it might be an effect of when she was kidnapped. as we toward the airport i get a text from an old friend. i text back and Shawn looks at me weirdly. "what?" i ask and he shakes his head. "the car is here" i say and motion to the rental car we got. its a burgundy color and has space for all of us. "i'll drive" he says and i buckle the girls in. when we arrive to his house i see there are a bunch of cars outside. "i thought you said they didn't know we were coming" i say to him. "i didn't tell them" he says and we take the girls out of the car. he knocks on the door and his sister opens up. "Shawn" she says and hugs him. i smile and wait awkwardly behind them. "whats going on?" asks Mrs. Mendes. "nana" yell both Audrey and Eleanor as they run up to her. they hug and i'm still awkwardly standing there. "lets get inside" says Shawn pushing me inside. i frown his family is being so distant from me. i guess that's why he didn't want to come. "don't mind mom she's been like that all morning." whispers Aaliyah. i just smile and hug her. "its been a long time since we last saw each other." i say. "i can't believe your having another kid" she says. i laugh. "neither can i" i say and she laughs too. "Did Shawn say we were coming" I ask her. "Yeah, he called mom this morning" she says and I help her set the table. So he lied to me. "Mommy, nana is gonna take us to the park" says a happy Eleanor as she runs over to me. "Well great, I'd love to get a view of Canada at night" I say and smile at Shawn. He doesn't smile back. "No, you have to help Aaliyah with the food. I'm taking Audrey and Eleanor" he says as he puts their coats on them. My smile fades and I look at Aaliyah. She grabs my arm and takes me to the kitchen, locking the door behind me. "What is up with him. Does he always treat you like that" she asks. "No, it's just been since I told him we were coming this morning" I answer. "Well maybe you should rest, I'll take you out tomorrow. And show you where Shawn hung out after school." She says and smiles at me. Shawn and his mom already left with the girls so I just open the door to what used to be his room. It looks normal, a desk and a bed. The room is a light blue and has papers scattered all over. I pick some up and it's music. i remember him telling me about this. how he would spend countless nights, writing music. i smile and pick up his old guitar placing it on my lap. i lay the music on the desk and start playing a tune. its been a long time since i sung,
