Patrick's POV
I was unpacking and getting my stuff organized all day. It wasn't that bad, Peter had the whole afternoon off and helped me out. Afterwards we ate from Subway and just relaxed on the couch.
I was thinking about getting a type of job, maybe what I did back in Chicago. Peter said there was no need for that, he is capable of bring the money in. I didn't doubt that at all but I needed to feel useful. I wasn't raised to have everything served to me.
"What are you thinking about beautiful?"
I smiled, "You. How amazing you are."
He chuckled, "I was just thinking the same thing about you." he reached over and kissed me on the lips. "I love you, Patrick."
I shook my head, "Not as much as I love you."
"Really? And how much do you love me?"
I was about to respond when Pete walked inside the house.
"Hi son, didn't see you this morning... Well other then the couch."
"Yeah, I was running late... Anyway I'll be up in my room. Also Brendon's birthday is tomorrow, so I'll be out most of the afternoon and maybe night."
"Oh, well that sounds great. But I have a meeting with a client in Sacramento. I'll have to leave tonight, but I'll be back tomorrow at noon... And I really don't want to leave my Patrick unattended."
"No, that's fine. I don't mind being alone" I said.
"I know but I wanted Pete to show you around, since I won't get to..."
"There's always another day Peter. Besides I don't want to get into Pete's plans."
"You know what dad, I don't mind showing Patrick around until the party. And if he wants to come later on that be okay, the guys would actually like to meet you."
I gave him a small smile, "Okay, thanks Pete, again."
"If that sounds good to you my love, that's fine for me."
I actually was not that comfortable with the idea, I have nothing against Pete. Maybe it could be a good way to actually get to know him and the city.
I woke up the next morning, forgetting Peter was not by my side. I stood up and went into the kitchen my my closed again when I saw Pete pouring himself a mug of coffee only in black boxers.
"Good morning." he says.
I open my eyes and look at something other then him, "good morning."
"Man, you sure blush a lot." he says handing me a cup of coffee.
"Yeah, it sorta just happens."
"Are you sure? Or did you just see something you like?" he smirked.
My cheeks were getting warmer. I hated this so much right now.
He chuckled, "I was just joking... Sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable..."
I decided to forget the unwanted joke, after all it was harmless. When we finished up, we got ready, and headed out the door. It was a beautiful day to walk around the neighborhood.
The weather was so much warmer, then the one back home. I wondered if I would get a little bit of a tan to get rid of my very pale skin.
"How do you enjoy the view so far?" Pete asked.
"I like it, there are really beautiful houses here..."
"Well this is a rich neighborhood... Everything is kept nice and neat. I have thought of leaving once I'm eighteen."
"That's what I was thinking when I was seventeen, but before I turned eighteen I was already kicked out of my house."
"Really? How come?"
"My father was homophobic. Even when my mother begged him for me to stay, he refused. My life was a mess, I stayed with a friend until graduating high school. And I decided to pursue my music career by performing in small areas... Things got a lot better after I met Peter."
"Tell me Patrick, are you with my father because of his money?"
"No, I would never... I'm not that type of person your thinking of!" I felt offended, and angry from hearing all of this.
"Sorry, for what I said... It's just my father has been married three times already. And your so young, He could practically be your father too."
"Well he's not and if we are going to continue to have this conversation I'll just go back-"
"No, I told my father I'll show you around and I will. Let's just forget this and move on... Okay?"
I nodded, "Yeah, okay."
