Patrick's POV

Being out all day is just what I needed to get my mind off things for a little while. Pete wasn't bad company either, there was something about him that I liked I can't understand how to describe it.

All the walking around though made me tired, and declined the invitation to Brendon's party. I did look forward to meeting them all at the wedding. Which I said I would get started to plan. But maybe I should wait until Peter gets back.

I took a quick shower before putting on my batman pj bottoms and a blue shirt. I headed to the kitchen and got started on making some Ramen noodles for dinner.

I sat down and enjoyed eating while watching a few episodes of Doctor Who. These are the moments I miss cuddling with Peter. I rarely sat down alone, I was so used to him always having his arms around me.

As I put my bowl in the sink after I was done eating. I heard the front door open unlock, Pete coming inside.

"Hey" he says once he sees me.

"Hi, I didn't expect you so early... I thought the party would be longer."

"Me too, but Brendon decided to kick us all out all the sudden when Dallon and Ryan both whispered in his ear... Now I'm back, so what have you been up to?"

"Um well I just finished eating and I'm going to finish up a Doctor Who marathon before I go to bed."

"Sounds good, do you mind if I join you?"

I shook my head, "Not at all."

He smiled, "Great I'm going to get out of these clothes first, and meet you there."

I went into the living room again and got comfortable going back to watching tv. Five minutes later Pete walks down with a small grey blanket with him. He sits next to me and put it around me and himself.

"Much more comfortable."

"I don't know why, but I think I'm going to be thanking you a lot."

He chuckled, "well I am a proper gentleman. But if you don't want to thank me, I'm okay with that too."

"No, it's okay. I don't mind thanking a proper gentleman... That's actually the type of guys I was into when I was in high school."

"So what your not into them now?" he asked.

"No of course I am, your father is the most amazing guy I've been with... but come on how many guys are gentleman in high school? Where I went there were only sleazeballs that wanted to have a good time."

"Yeah, I guess... Maybe because my dad raised me I'd turned out to be one hell of a guy. I mean what was you first impression of me, at the dinner party?"

"Honestly?" I asked.

He nodded, "honestly. What did you think when you first saw me?"

"Well I thought you were going to be a douchebag that gave me so much drama about being with his dad..."

Pete started laughing, "are you serious? I look that bad?..."

"I will admit you are an attractive dude... I did change my mind about you though, when I had the time to spend with you. I especially changed my mind when you stood up for me in front of the three ex's... I'll always thank you for that. And I think we could turn out to be good friends."

"Just friends?"

I nodded, "Yeah, what else would we be?"

"What about... Best friends?" he asked.

"Okay, then we'll be best friends."

After I said that he layed his head on my lap facing his body away from the tv.. "Best friends can do this right?"

I nodded. "Goodnight Pete."
