Pete's POV

Darn it, Patrick why can't you understand I only love you. I couldn't care less what happens to Jenny. She was flirting we me at first, but then I did tell her I wasn't interested. Of course like usual she kept insisting, until I came running after you.

I was already walking towards the car, until I realized how I got here. It was my father's car and I had no money for a cab.

I went back inside and tried looking for my dad. He wasn't dancing with Elizabeth anymore. It was even worse what I found him doing. He had his hands all over Patrick's body and his lips were practically attacking his.

"Dad!" I yelled interrupting the little scene.

He turned and looked up at me. "Pete, what's wrong?"

You're kissing MY Patrick! That's whats wrong! "Uh, well I'm tired and like to go home. Can I get cash for a cab?"

"No need, Patrick was telling me he was tried as well... The bad thing is I can't leave without a signed contract, so I'll have to wait a bit longer. Mean while I'll give you the keys to my car and you both can go home... If that's okay?"

I nodded, I had no other choice. He leaned in again and kissed Patrick, I looked the other way not able to see such sight. "I'll see you at home" he told him.

He handed me the keys and I walked off to the car, Patrick following behind me. I got in and unlocked his door.

The car ride was quiet, I didn't like it. Instead I turned on the radio and just my luck, Mr. Brightside by The Killers comes on. Patrick immediately turned it down.

"Hey! I was listening to that" I said.

"I'm not in the mood to listen to that song, you know why."

"I really don't. Besides it looked like you were having fun kissing my father. The paparazzi surrounding both of you taking pictures, of the happy couple... Even when I told you not to let him kiss you there anymore."

"What was I suppose to do, say 'hey Peter you can't kiss me anymore because my lips belong to your son' Besides I'm done with everything!"

"Your lips aren't only mine. Besides I was ready to tell everyone about us, not caring about the consequences."

"Pete, I don't want to talk about this anymore. Just drive, and lets move on from here."

"I can't move on..." I pulled over and turned off the car. I held out the keys, "here drive yourself home, I need to be alone."

"Pete-"

"Just go Patrick." I got off the car and through the keys on my seat and started walking the opposite direction.

I didn't look back, to check if he left. I continued walking forward until I made it to Brendon's house.

I looked at the parking lot and both Dallon's and Ryan's car were parked out front.

I knocked on the door and thankfully Brendon answered. "Dude what's up?"

"I hate love..." I said.

He moved out of the doorway and motioned me to come inside.

"Don't worry about Ryan or Dallon, their both asleep in my room."

"Eh, that's okay. I don't mind them being around, for this" I said sitting down on his couch.

"I always knew you were seeing someone, are you finally going to tell me who it is?"

"It's... Patrick."

"Your hot step father!? I haven't even introduced myself to him yet."

"Well you were going to meet him at the wedding, but I'm not going to let that take place."

"Then what's going to happen with your dad? Pete, he'll be devastated... After what you told me he wouldn't be able to take this."

"What do you think, he'll do something drastic? My father would never do something like that."

"Well think about it, your mom died and he was already suffering, but he still had you, someone to look after. Now that you're older and took his boyfriend away, he'll be alone and depressed..."

"So what, I should be the one to be alone?..."

"I don't know, I think the only one to fix all this and decided who he wants to be is, Patrick. After all you both knew someone was going to end up being hurt."

"Brendon..." we looked and saw Ryan standing on the staircase.

Brendon smiled. "Let me guess, Dallon is hogging the blankets again?"

He nodded. "Hey Pete."

"Hi, Ryan. Anyway I'll talk to later..."

"Yeah... Ryan you don't mine if Pete takes your car right? He walked all the way here."

"No, it's fine. The keys are on the hook."

"Well then goodnight, and I'll think about what you just said." I grabbed the keys and headed off home.
