It's Saturday and my mom is leaving  around five later in the afternoon. I haven't spoken to Riley since yesterday and I'm already getting bored. I miss her interesting weird and happy antics.

I wonder how she's doing. And wonder if she's alright and has finally stopped by worrying. She shouldn't be worried ever. I wonder if she's happy right now and not sad. What if she thinks I'm angry because of the way I got out of her car  without saying anything.

I grab my phone from my nightstand and dial Riley's number.

"Hey Riles, are okay?"

"Oh Maya, I'm sorry I haven't called and stuff and I said that about you not knowing how I felt. I'm so sorry. Could you come over?" She sounded worried.

"Oh yeah sure. As long as you're happy. I don't need you pouring out boyfriend-girlfriend stuff on me which I seem to have no idea about." I said chuckling.

"Oh I'm happy. Yeah like you said it was all weird relationship stuff and I was scared for no reason."

When she's not happy and she's any other emotion, she gets over it quickly and goes back to being happy. I wish that's how I was. But even though I feel b*tchy, there's no getting over my kind of sadness.

"Wait, you said you were scared. Why." I questioned feeling anxious.

"Oh, no biggie. I just thought I was going to lose Lucas."

"Umm, to lose Lucas? Is someone going a bit cuckoo?" I said confused but that wasn't what I wanted to ask. To lose Lucas. To who? Was Lucas seeing other girls? I seriously don't want to think I'm the only girl in Lucas' life apart from Riley.

"Umm I'm not sure,but maybe."

"Yeah you're very crazy to think you're going to lose Lucas. I'll be there in a few."

"Kk, bye then." She blew kisses into the phone then I hang up.

At least everything was back to normal.

Riley was happy again. Good.
I can't help feeling annoyed that I'd left my bike in Riley's garage. So I was going to have to walk. Something I rarely did since I got my motorcycle about two years ago. If I wasn't riding my bike, I was in Riley's car or worse-taking the subway. Don't ask why, it brings memories.

I grab my sunglasses from the living room table and and I step out into the bright morning light.

I see a shiny black Honda Accord parked in front of my house.

Farkle Minkus steps out walking towards me.

Did I mention that Farkle was freakishly rich? Huh.

He was dressed in a plain white T-shirt over a black leather jacket and some black skinny jeans. Hmm... Not his usual way of dressing. But he did look good though.

"Good morning Maya."

"Good morning. Umm how did you find my house?" I asked a bit confused.

"Not important. Isn't your friend of over nine years eventually supposed to know where you live?"

"Yeah I guess so."

"Or if you consider us more than friends, I'm not complaining."  He said his eyes widened.

"I never said anything like that." I retorted.

Farkle cleared his throat. "Hey look... We match." Farkle said gesturing towards my own black and leather jacket ensemble.

I just smiled. I knew he wasn't talking about just our outfits.

I don't know but I seriously feel desperate right now and desperate times call for desperate measures. Farkle liked me-or whatever it was that he felt for me. Plus I said I would try. And he seemed like the only one who was ready to love the unlovable.
