It took all my willpower to ignore Luna when she came to speak to me. I wasn't very good at expressing my emotions properly or nicely so the only way I thought I could be safe from screwing myself over was to be quiet. On second glance, that might not have been the smartest move. I didn't know if Luna had seen me cry because she stormed off just as I began to. At this point I didn't even care because I just wanted to fix things between us. I truly did love Luna and I didn't give a fuck about what the stupid rule was. No one and nothing was going to stop me from being with her. As I was finishing up my pep talk, the door banged open and I looked up to see Speedy standing in the doorway. He looked livid.

"Come on Side, we're going," he said with his teeth gritted in anger.

"But I have to find L-"

"No. Let's go, now."

I decided to just shut my mouth and follow like an obedient Sidearms. I didn't know why Speedy was so angry, but I didn't want to add to it. When we got to the car, Shadow was already sitting shotgun so I got into the back.

I didn't speak until we were about a block away from Rob's apartment, "Speedy, what the hell man? I needed to talk to Luna, I needed to apologize because I fucked up."

"Shut the fuck up, Sidearms!" Yelled Shadow, then he realized what he'd said. "Crap, sorry guys."

Everyone was quiet as we were reminded of what Jahova possibly liked to say the most to me.

"Dude, what were you thinking? You really messed up this time Side. You stupid-ass dick."

"Speedy-" I was lost for words due to the amount of rage with which Speedy was speaking.

"You didn't think for a second that it might be smart to tell the poor girl about the rule? Tell her that's why you can't date or whatever you wanted to do. After you fucking broke her heart I had to comfort her because you're a wimp and can't live up to your mistakes." Speedy took a sharp right, ignoring a stop sign.

"Slow down man!" said Shadow, who was gripping tightly on to the dashboard.

"I know Speedy," I said. "I know that I fucked up. I was going to apologize to her when you dragged me out of there!"

"That's not an excuse for what you did that made her cry like that in the first place!" yelled Speedy, turning to face me.

Shadow and I saw the approaching car at the same time, "Speedy!"

"Fuck," he yelled and jerked the wheel to the right, narrowly avoiding the oncoming car. The three of us were silent except for the sound of Shadow swearing over and over under his breath.

Finally Speedy broke the silence, "I'm sorry guys. I almost killed all of us. I'm so sorry."

"It's okay Speedy. You didn't and that's all that matters." There was another awkward silence before I continued. "I'm going to call Luna as soon as I get home and apologize to her for everything. Do you have her number, Speedy?" I asked.

Speedy shook his head. "I gave her mine and yours, but I didn't get her's and I don't know when she'll decide to text or call me to talk about her training."

"I have her number," Shadow said.

I looked at him, surprised. "How, why?"

"Well, unlike you, I didn't avoid Luna for the entire day. We talked some and she seemed interested in my music, so I invited her over to see my operation sometime." He shrugged like this was no big deal, although I knew it was. Shadow had been social and pleasant enough that Luna had wanted to spend more time with him. This was a huge feat for him. "I sent you the contact."

Speedy pulled up at my house and I jumped out. "See ya, fellers." I said as I rushed inside, eager to call Luna.
