"Can you hand me that redstone dust G?" I asked and he handed me the requested material from D4's bag of goodies.

"I don't understand why you need to make a redstone door if we're only going to be here for two more days." G questioned once again.

"Because it's safer. I'm making sure that both of us are getting out of this fucking game this season. Zombies can break down regular doors and kill you in your sleep." I repeated with exasperation. I pushed the button and the door opened flawlessly. G slipped through the door and threw himself on the bed, looking up at me. I shook my head at him and turned to find myself face to face with Bdubs.

"Want me to spruce up your place? Looks kind of bare," he asked me.

"I don't really think it's necessary. We're not going to be here for very much longer." Now I sound like G, I thought. I was sort of unsure about Bdubs. He was a strange character and I didn't quite understand him which scared me. Normally when I didn't understand something I would just avoid it, but I couldn't avoid Bdubs because he was always there.

"Okay," he walked away sort of dejectedly and I felt bad about denying him something that seemed to make him happy.

"Shadow..." G said condescendingly. "Would it really have hurt to let him build something?"

"I guess not, but that guy is just weird. You have to admit G."

"He's just trying to fit in. He probably feels awkward because he joined us at a weird time-"

G continued to talk about why I should cut Bdubs some slack, but I had stopped listening to him. Instead I was staring at Brandon standing ten blocks away from me and holding his sword to Mitch's throat.

"G," I interrupted while keeping my eyes on Brandon.

"What?" He asked, "I was talking."

"G, look." I said again.

Finally he looked up at me and saw Brandon, "Fuck."

Kara walked up beside Brandon. She ran her fingers along the blade of her glowing diamond sword menacingly. "Take us to the rest of your little pow wow here. We have some things to discuss."

"Why should we do anything you say?" I asked with more confidence than I actually felt. Luna had filled me in on what Kara had done and I was livid about it. Understandably, of course.

"Because if you don't, Mitch here will come to the same fate he did last season."

Her words were so unlike anything she would have said before this season that I was thrown off guard.

"Follow us," G said and began to walk to the middle of our tiny ring of houses. I waited for them to go in front of me, but Kara saw through my plan and gestured for me to walk in front of them.

She placed her sword solidly between my shoulder blades and whispered, "I can't wait to do this again."

I swallowed heavily. My back twinged with pain as she pressed her sword into the same spot she had stabbed before.

"Hey G," Vikk said brightly before he noticed our companions. "Oh shit. What are you doing here Kara?"

"I learned that I had some unfinished business here. My job-sorry, our job-was to eliminate the entirety of the Smarts group and that was not accomplished apparently. I don't know how you managed to save Shadow, but this time I will be a lot more careful to watch the life leave his eyes. As for Luna, little, innocent Luna, I'll let Side watch her die." She grinned evilly. "G? Would you be a doll and go get Luna and Side for me?"

"Kara, you don't have to do this," Vikk tried to reason with her.

"Yes I do!" She screamed and pushed her sword deeper into my back.

G hadn't moved a muscle since her order. "G18! Get them now!"

In a flash the pressure on my back was released and her sword flashed across Mitch's stomach. Brandon released him in surprise and he fell to the ground, clutching at his stomach. I watched as he jerked a couple of times and blood bubbled from his mouth before he fell to the grass.

Vikk covered his mouth and I looked away from Mitch giving G a push to do as Kara asked. At least now I knew that she wasn't messing around and could and would carry out her threats. Speedy walked up beside Vikk and held up his hands.

"Stay where you are," Kara warned.

"Kara," Speedy tried this time. "The game doesn't control you. You control you. We can all make it out of here alive if you just stop doing what it's-"

"Shut up!" She screamed.

"Kara, maybe they're right," Brandon said. "Maybe the game really doesn't have any control over us."

She whirled on him and he backed up quickly. "What? Do you actually believe them? Do you believe the lies they're telling you?" She screamed at Brandon as she advanced on him.

G returned with Luna and Side following him. I ran to him and stopped him from getting any closer.

"I do, Kara. This game fucks with our minds. How can we trust it?" Brandon replied and noticeably got more confident as he stood his ground.

"THEY'RE LIARS!!" She screamed and swung her sword wildly at Brandon. He parried, but was reluctant to fight her. He loved her, but she wasn't Kara anymore. She had been changed by this fucked up game.

The fight was brief. Kara wasn't thinking clearly so her strikes weren't calculated. When the tip of Brandon's sword protruded from her back she froze and looked down at the sword, up to it's hilt in her ribs. Brandon let out his breath and the tears began to fall from his eyes as he reached to stabilize Kara.

"No, no, no..." he whispered. "Kara, I love you. Kara..." She leaned into his arms, but didn't say anything. She looked at him with big brown eyes and Brandon's tears dripped on her face. "I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry."
