I opened my eyes when a hand was placed on my shoulder. I jumped and crawled backwards before springing to my feet and drawing the wooden sword that Mat had given me the night before. Shadow stepped back from my slightly blunt, but still highly effective sword that I held pointed at his chest.

Shadow raised his arms in surrender, "Whoa. Don't stab me. I'm a friend now."

"What?" I kept my sword pointed at him.

"They switched the teams," he angrily pulled up the sleeve of his jacket and showed me a blue tattoo of a book on his wrist. "We have to work together now because we're in the same group."

I lowered my sword, stunned at the news. I looked at my own wrist and sure enough, a tattoo identical to Shadow's was present there.

Without thinking I asked, "Is Albi in our group?"

Shadow looked at me curiously. As far as he was concerned, Albi and I had no relationship. I mentally scolded myself for being so careless.

"No. It's you, me, Mat, Kara and Rob."

I was astonished. "Kara and Brandon aren't together?"

"No, but Kara's taking it surprisingly well. Let's go join the others. Now that you're finally awake we can have a group discussion about what our next plan of action is. Also we received a book that we need to read."

I followed Shadow out of the building and found the others huddled around a furnace.

Kara looked up as we approached and came over to me to embrace me in a hug. She whispered in my ear, "Don't trust either of them yet. Remember that we don't really know what's going on."

I nodded.

She pulled away and said at a normal volume, "I'm sorry I didn't tell you guys about the tattoos earlier. I didn't think that something would happen so fast."

"It's okay." I was slightly mad at her, but I knew that she and Mat needed to stay my allies.

"Let's read this book and figure out what's going on," Mat said from where he was, holding a shiny book in his hand.

We gathered around as he cracked open the book and began to read:

Attention

As you may have realized, you are not in your normal groups. This is because those past groups no longer exist. These people are now the people you must work with for the remainder of this season. Your team is based on knowledge. You have exhibited vast insight into aspects of minecraft that are beyond the grasp of normal minded people. You tend to think through problems or use redstone to achieve the same results as another would use other means to overcome.

There is of course the question of love. Just as in previous seasons, the rule applies that an intimate relationship can not exist between people in different groups. In order to make sure that this rule isn't broken, once this sentence is finished, all of you will lose your fond memories of the ones you love and will only remember them as friends.

Good luck.

When Mat closed the book I didn't feel any different. Thoughts of Albi were still ones of love and caring. Had the enchantment not worked on me?

"Well," Rob clapped his hands together. "Let's get down to business. What's our strategy?"

"I think we should find a place to build a base and then we should trap it. Like the book said, we're the smart ones so let's stick to what we know." replied Mat.

We began to trek through the world, looking for a supply rich area. I walked beside Kara and we talked, but she never mentioned Brandon, which was strange because she always had something to say about him. It was obvious that she had stopped loving him, but why hadn't I stopped loving Albi?
