Hāmonī was pretty proud of how fast they all reacted.
As she drew her knives, Kiyōna sent a thorn less vine to scoop up Yuri and put her in a high branch of a tree, and Minto morphed into his full form. At once, they attacked the demons.
Hāmonī sent out a blast of fire, which scorched the ranks of the purple demons. She glanced to her left, and saw Kiyōna was holding her own, her vines whipping back the demons, keeping them at bay. Her vines were coated with their black blood.
After sending out two more scorching waves of fire, Hāmonī had enough of a break to glance to her right, checking on Minto. Any worry she had about him getting poisoned dissipated. Minto cleverly used his long legs to swipe at the demons, or floated over them and swiped at their heads. Yuri would call out if any demons got to close to the cat.
No matter how few their numbers were getting, the enraged demons kept coming and coming. Hāmonī and the others must have slayed hundreds by the time the last few were slayed. The three lay on the ground, panting in total exhaustion. Hāmonī had enough power to wash all the blood coating the three of them, but not much more than that. It even took a few tries for Kiyōna's vines to reach Yuri, she was so weak.
As soon as Yuri got down, she started to cook some of the left over fish. Minto, Hāmonī, and Kiyōna all had watering mouths by the time she was done. They were strong enough to sit up and eat the last of the fish, but none of them could keep their eyes open to do watch. Yuri finally said she would, as long as she promised to wear Hāmonī's robe of the fire rat and hold her knives. Minto curled up to her as an extra precaution.
Hāmonī hoped Yuri would be okay as she slipped into sleep.

Hāmonī and the others woke up at noon the next morning. Nothing had happened during the night, and Yuri returned Hāmonī's robe and knives. All powers were recharged, and they were ready to continue their journey to find Inuyasha.
Hāmonī knew they were close. She could feel it. Soon she would see her brother again. And meet all his companions. Minto had learned recently he'd acquired a new companion, a demon slayer named Sango, and her two tail cat Kirara. According to Minto, this Kirara could not talk.
Kiyōna's voice brought Hāmonī back to reality. "Why isn't Inuyasha looking for you?" she piped up, as if staying silent longer than an hour was unbearable.
Hāmonī groaned internally. She really did not want to answer that question. Why did children have to be so nosy?!
Minto, sensing Hāmonī didn't want to answer the question, gave the answer in a deceptively calm and even voice. "Because he thinks she's dead."
Yuri's eyes look like they were about to about to pop out of her head. Kiyōna gave a gasp and said breathlessly "Now you have to tell us! Come on Hāmonī, Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!!"
Hāmonī groaned. Why her?
"Fine," she muttered "But if you interrupt me, there is no way I'm finishing, so be silent for once." Kiyōna and Yuri were completely silent, eyes fixed upon Hāmonī. She took in a breath, and started.
"Inuyasha and I have always been close, especially since our mother died. He had told me of his love for the priestess Kikyo. I naturally teased him about it. I never really knew what he saw in her, but that is unrelated. I wanted him to be happy.
"To continue, one day Inuyasha, Minto and I were fighting a horde of demons that were planning on attacking their village. We were doing fine and had killed almost all the demons when a demon managed to score a scratch across my head. I fell unconscious, and Inuyasha was surrounded by demons and couldn't help. The demon started to drag me into the trees, and Minto killed the last demon he was fighting and chased after me.
"Unfortunately, Minto couldn't kill it, but he managed to free me. He hid me under a rock and cared for me. Minto heard Inuyasha searching for me, but couldn't call out because other demons in the area would have found us.
"Inuyasha probably tracked the demon back to it's lair, because when we went to destroy him ourselves, it was already dead. It was surrounded by bones picked clean. Inuyasha must have though we were eaten. We were going to tell Inuyasha that we were alive after we retrieved some herbs that would heal me back to full strength. However, on our way back, we were attacked by that time stopper demon and," she shrugged "The rest you already know."
"Wow,"Kiyōna breathed. Yuri smiled and patted Hāmonī's arm.
"Don't worry, we'll find him."
Hāmonī smiled faintly.
"I know."

Hello my apprentices,
First of all, I am so, SO sorry I couldn't update yesterday. But I literally could not access my works because wattpad was acting up.
Second of all, I feel like I haven't really done much in the way of contests or learning about me. So I've decided that I'm going to something when I reach 10k. So expect something!
Thanks,
Magic Hippo
