Hāmonī sat quietly on the branch of an old oak tree, flinging a small knife at the tree and retrieving it to pass the time. Time. Ha. She had all the time in the world. There was nothing to see, nothing to do, no one to fight. All she could do was fling her knife back and forth, back and forth, back and- 'What's that' she thought, her fuzzy white ears perked at the sound of crunching leaves. She crept silently to the edge of the branch, knife in hand, her pure, silverly white hair swinging, and her golden eyes darting. She was disappointed to see only two human travelers until she heard one of them say " Have you heard? Inuyasha, the half-demon, has awaken from the spell that the priestess Kikyō put on him. They say a young girl called Kagome did it by removing the sacred arrow from his chest. Vicious one, he is. Wouldn't like to run into him."
Hāmonī had heard enough. Leaping lightly from the tree branch, she landed in front of the travelers, who gave exclamations of surprise. Smiling sweetly, she purred, " Why hello there! I was sitting in that tree over there and couldn't help overhearing something about Inuyasha. Could you tell me where he is?"
The traveler who had spoken was now trembling with fear. "P-p-please don't hurt us!" he stuttered fearfully.
Hāmonī smiled, her fangs flashing. "I won't have to if you tell me. Now, where is he?"
The poor man gulped and said hastily "Lady Kaede's village. Go south until you pass the southern wolf tribe, then head west."
"Farewell, then." she said, and sprang into the branch of the nearest tree, heading south like the traveler said.
"Vicious one she is. Wouldn't like to run into her again." the traveler muttered. His companion grunted in agreement and they headed on their way.
