Hāmonī walked through the tunnels with Koga, Aqua, and Mika. Kagura's threat still chilled her, but she didn't let it bother her, for now at least. As they continued on, they bumped into Akihiko. "You found him?" Akihiko asked. Hāmonī nodded. "Good, let's get out of here then." He replied, and they walked into the main hallway, where a few of the others were gathered. Sango, Miroku, and Yuri were chatting quietly. Minto was sitting patiently, tail curled around his paws. Arashi and Carla were flying around. Minto greeted her quietly when they came in, and Aqua and Akihiko went up to talk to Yuri while Hāmonī and Koga sat with Minto.

Suddenly, out of one of the hallways, came Inuyasha and Lily, carrying an unconscious Kagome. They set her down, and Sango and Miroku joined Inuyasha in checked up on her, making sure she was unharmed. Meanwhile, Lily went to have a conversation with Carla.

About ten minutes later, Shippo, Kirara, Kiyōna, and Happy came in together. When they were all there, they all left the building, eager to get away from its dark presence.

They set up camp in the woods a while away. Arashi, Lily, Carla, and Happy all bid their goodbyes, and left to find some "Fiore" place. Inuyasha and his band decided to stay with them for a while, as did Aqua and Mika. After they all had settled into there own little groups (Minto, Kirara, and Mika, Sango, Miroku, Kagome, and Inuyasha, and Kiyōna, Yuri, Shippo, and Aqua.), Hāmonī turned to Koga, a question in her eyes.

Koga sighed. "Come with me," he said quietly, and they walked through the woods, admiring the trees. Hesitantly, Koga began "I was trapped in a cage by Chiki, and Kagura came every now and then, threatening me, trying to make me give up the shards. I kept refusing, and eventually, I snapped. I told her that you were going to rescue me, and that she'd never get my shards." he shook his head. "She just chuckled evilly  and told me that, and these are her exact words 'If you're sweetheart comes and rescues you, I'll make sure you never remember her.'"

The feeling of dread that came upon her in the dark hallway hit her like a wave, making her vision blur. She could feel herself trembling, but she remained silent, letting him continue.

"A while later she came and whispered words over me. Told me that as soon as she activated it, my memory of you would slip away. I couldn't believe it. I wouldn't. Who could possibly have the power to do that? But.." He swallowed "It's true. It's slow, but I can feel my memory of you fading, slowly but surely."

By now tears were in Hāmonī's eyes. She wrapped herself around Koga, sobbing gently into his shoulder. He held her tightly, tears slipping out his own eyes and onto her silver hair. "I'm sorry," He murmured "So sorry,"

"I'll find a way," she sobbed "If it takes a hundred year's, I will find something to help you. To help us." She nuzzled her head into his shoulder "I promise,"

Carefully, Koga pulled apart from Hāmonī. "I will have to leave soon, you know that." He whispered, cupping her chin with his hand "I... can't be here when I loose my memory of you. But before I go..." Hāmonī stared into his beautiful brown eyes, waiting. Gently, he pulled her closer, and softly pressed his lips against hers in a light kiss. They stayed there for a second, enjoying the sweetness of the moment, before pulling apart.

There were no words; this would be no goodbye. Hāmonī turned away from him, walking slowly down the path back to the camp, silent tears running down her cheeks. She did not look back, not until a bend in the path allowed her a last, covert glance at Koga, staring mournfully after her.

Well, My Apprentices, that's it.

The end of Inuyasha's Sister,  a story that began almost 3 years ago.

It might not have ended how you expected, but believe me, it will continue on into the next book.

I still have acknowledgments to write, a new story to plan.

But for a moment, just a moment, I spared a thought for the young, impulsive 5thgrader hat had started this story.

But then I shook it off. I had a story to write.

Goodbye for now, my Apprentices,

Magic Hippo
