Chapter 18: Captured!

After a lot of running, Hāmonī finally had her brother and his band in sight. They were on the edge of a mountain, and Hāmonī leaned against the hard stone surface to catch her breath. Her head still ached from that blow Koga gave her. She gritted her teeth. He would pay it back to the tenfold.

Sango and Miroku had just landed with Kirara. Hāmonī watched them talk, just out of range to hear them. It was then Hāmonī noticed something... odd. Her eyes felt... different. She couldn't quite explain the weird tingling feeling she felt in her eyes. She shook her head, dismissing it. Just an affect of the headache.

But then her eyes were drawn to the mountain. Something was coming.

Without warning, a group of wolves sprinted down from the mountain, knocking Inuyasha into the gorge below. Hāmonī got to her feet, sprinting over to the group as they were attacked by more wolves. 

Then there was Koga, heading for Kagome. NO! He would not get Kagome. Without a thought, Hāmonī jumped, grabbing Kagome as Koga scooped her up. "Oh... no... you... DON'T!" she snarled, and held on to Kagome. She felt herself weakening, and redoubled her efforts. Her arms were glowing, turning gold as her eyes. She had never seen this happen before. 

Koga growled. "Fine. I'll just have to take both of you!" He turned and ran, scooping  Hāmonī with Kagome. Hāmonī was still to weak to stop the demon, and her skin did not stop glowing. The glowing spread, until it surrounded her and Kagome. As Koga continued running, a rock headed for them, striking the glowing air and bouncing off. A shield.

The unconscious energy of the golden glow made Hāmonī tired, and the edges of her vision started to turn black. The last thing she heard before she passed out was Kagome saying "Hold on!"

  Hāmonī woke up to the inside of a cave, surrounded by wolf demons. She blinked a couple times, and looked at her arms. No glow. She glanced to her right. Kagome was sitting next to her, deep in thought. Hāmonī nudged her lightly. "Hey," she said softly "What's going on?"

Kagome sighed. "Koga needs me to find a shard from a demon bird. Or he'll kill us. I just wish we had a way to escape..."

Hāmonī pondered this, looking at Shippo, who was resting on the floor next to Kagome. "I think I have an idea..."

Hi my Apprentices,

I'm sorry for the short chapter, I really am. But I feel terrible right now. My whole right side of my face feels like I have been in an intense fist fight from oral surgery, and I really don't feel well. I feel horrible for writing such a short chapter, but I honestly can't right now. 

Again, I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you guys when I'm feeling better.
