Arashi was the first to see the fortress peeking out of the clouds. Hāmonī was next, seeing the shadowy shapes Arashi had described. Time to get back Koga and Kagome.

They circled the place, trying to find the entrance. When they landed in front of the castle, Hāmonī could sense no enemies, could hear nothing. Only the pressing fog around her.

Inuyasha, being Inuyasha, walked right up to the door and opened it. Gazing inside it was like looking at a maze. Hallways branched off of the main one at random, the walls were high and dark, with only faint light. They stepped inside, their shadows spreading across the dark walls.

"So many halls..." Kiyōna murmured, glancing down the long halls. Minto padded up to Hāmonī. "Should we split up?" Hāmonī shrugged. "I don't think there is any other option. There is too much to explore for us to do anything else."

Hāmonī turned to the group. "We're all splitting up, into pairs. Arashi and Carla, Kiyōna and Happy, Sango and Miroku, Minto and Yuri, Kirara and Shippo, Inuyasha and Lily, and me and Akihiko. Any questions?"

"Why are you in charge?" Inuyasha complained. Hāmonī glared at him "1st of all, because I am the only reasonable one of the two of us. And. Because. I. Said. So. Now, let's get going."

They all split off down different hallways. Hāmonī and Akihiko took a narrow hallway where they squeezed against the wall. Akihiko looked really nervous, tapping his nails against his side and checking behind himself constantly.

Eventually, Hāmonī addressed this. "Are you ok, Akihiko? You seem really nervous." The cat demon smiled nervously "I'm, just, you know, in a new environment. And it feels weird without the rest of the team here. I'm... kinda shy."

Hāmonī gave a little grin, watching her step as the corridor became more twisty. "I've noticed. At first glance you may not seem like much, but obviously looks can be deceiving. I bet you could take me on in a fight."

She could almost hear him blushing. "Well, I don't know about that. I mean, my best power is to be invisible, and you'd probably hear me or smell me, right?" She shook her head. "You move like a freaking ninja. And I'd most likely only smell you if you were upwind of me. And you've got a lot more going for you, like your speed and strength. They're nothing to sneeze at."

Akihiko was about to reply when they came to a crossroads, one path going left, the other right. "Split up?" Akihiko asked, and Hāmonī nodded, and took the left path. As she continued to walk through the dark hall, she thought about her conversation with Akihiko. He was a good, reliable freind, she was glad to have him around.

She turned the corner, and saw a large room, cages lining the walls.

And who was in one but Koga.

Dear My Apprentices,

I am so, so, soooooooo sorry about the late update. I feel really horrible, but we had a lot of work in school and my computer got taken away and wattpad crashed while I was writing this so I had to redo it. For that I am sorry.

On another subject, this story should really only have a couple more chapters left in it. After I finish I'm probably going to ask you guys on what to do.

Also, two more days and school is over! So soon we shouldn't have any problems with updating.

Sincerely

Magic Hippo
