Hāmonī, Inuyasha's Sister ( inuyasha fanfic)

Chapter 24: Chiki

"So will we finally get to see this mysterious well?" Kiyōna asked excitedly. Hāmonī  shook her head in confusion. "Why," she asked "Would ever be excited to see a well?"

Yuri butted in "The well connects to another world, Hāmonī! Wouldn't you like to go to another world?"

Hāmonī sighed "Not really. I am perfectly fine in this world." Kiyōna did a little jump "Oooo, I bet I know why you like this world a little better, and it starts with K and has a wolf tail... Ow!" Akihiko had managed to bop Kiyōna on the head before she could. Akihiko sighed softly. "If I have to hear one more word about Koga, I'll snap." he said in explanation.

Hāmonī rolled her eyes in agreement. It had only been about half a day since they left Koga's camp, and Kiyōna was convinced they were in love. And Hāmonī wasn't even sure she was wrong; she definitely felt a connection with Koga. Yuri, as usual, shoved her back into hard reality with a groan of "I'm hungry!", a call that Kiyōna soon took up as well.

Minto looked at her and shrugged. Well, she thought, we could use a break... and with that, she plopped herself on the ground and started eating some food. Everyone else joined her except Akihiko, who went off to get some sweet food. 

 Hāmonī was starting to get a bit worried about Akihiko. She knew he could look after himself, but still, he hadn't come back yet, and he could normally find sweet food quick as anything. She'd give it until the end of their lunch, and then she'd look for him.

They were just finishing up lunch when they heard talking from a little bit away. Hāmonī and Minto went to investigate, and found Akihiko, strung up by his ankles, having a casual conversation with  a half-tiger demon. She had long ginger hair, brilliant green eyes, and short, almost rounded ears, and sharp, deadly looking claws. She wore a battle outfit of a blue top and denim bottoms, with long gloves to accent it, along with a sword at her side.

She glanced their way when they came in to view. "Oh, is he with you? Sorry, he startled me is all." Drawing her claws, she slice through the bonds that held Akihiko as is they were soft as leaves. She drew in her claws, then held her hand out to Hāmonī. "The name's Chiki. I'm a wanderer. And you are...?"

"Hāmonī." Hāmonī said evenly, giving the hand a brief shake. She looked about the same age as Hāmonī, and she seemed serious. "And the two-tail?" Chiki asked, nodding to Minto. "I'm Minto." the cat said, and Hāmonī saw Chiki startle. "Oh, you can talk. Well, what brings you fine people out to the woods on a day like this? I can hear some other companions a while away."

  Hāmonī shrugged "It's a long story, Chiki." The girl smile "I've got time. You intrigue me greatly. May I share your fire?" With a nod from Hāmonī , Chiki headed to the campsite, trailed by a confused Akihiko, who shrugged. Hāmonī smiled. It looked like they might have another companion for a while.

Sorry it took so long to update. I have a lot of stuff going on right now, thus the short chapter and late update. So sorry! I swear I'll make it up to you.

Also, congrats @ClarinetWarriorfor getting in. I love your character!
