"Miss Hāmonī !" yowled Minto " I have some news! It seems that Inuyasha is again searching for the sacred jewel."
Hāmonī's mouth twitched slightly. " That brother of mine," she sighed "When will he ever learn? The jewel's power is too strong for him."
" Luckily," Minto continued " The village leader Kaede put a necklace on your brother so that young girl Kagome can control him."
" Really? Tut tut, Inuyasha, your losing your grip."
"What's more is, they say the girl is a reincarnation of the high priestess Kikyo."
" Well, well, well. Does this girl have much power?"
" I do not know. Yet."
"Hmmm. Anyway, we'd better hurry up."
"Yes, yes."
So the two continued on until nightfall. When it reached dusk, Hāmonī and Minto decided that they would stay at a human inn at the nearby town. Wearing a hat to cover her ears, Hāmonī entered the inn, carrying Minto in a basket. "A room for one and dinner, please."
The innkeeper, a young woman, answered " Two silver coins, Miss." Hāmonī passed her the silver coins, and the innkeeper told her " Two doors to the right. Dinner in an hour."
Hāmonī picked up Minto's basket, and headed to her room. As soon as the door closed she turned to Minto " Explore around this place. Meet me back here in an hour." Minto nodded, and left.
Hāmonī spent awhile setting down her equipment before she also left the room. She walked around outside, until she came upon a little girl planting some seeds. Curiously, she went up to the girl and asked "Who are you?"
The girl jumped, and then smiled " I am the innkeeper's daughter."
" And what are you planting?"
" I'm planting seeds of hope."
Hāmonī frowned " Seeds of hope?"
"Yes. My brother gave them to me, before he went off to learn how to be a monk."
Hāmonī's heart warmed. "They're beautiful." she whispered.
The young girl giggled. " Thank you!" she murmured.
A loud ringing made the girl jump. " Oh! Dinner!" she exclaimed, running inside. Hāmonī hesitated, then followed her in.
