Koga, Hāmonī, and her group leaped onto a building, and they gaped at what they saw. Inuyasha was covered in blood, surrounded by the bodies of wolf demons. A little gasp escaped Hāmonī, and she saw Koga clenched his fists in anger.
"Before you assume anything," Inuyasha said, almost as if he was in shock himself, then stopped, looking at Hāmonī. "Hāmonī? Why are you with Koga?" Hāmonī flipped her hair, still in shock but trying to hide it "Well, why are you surrounded by bodies of wolf demon?"
Inuyasha shrugged angrily "I said not to jump to conclusions! Some lady-" He was interrupted by a woman coming out of the castle holding some fan.

"Who are you?" Koga challenged, but the woman only smiled a sinister smile that made a shiver crawl down Hāmonī's spine. "It does not matter," she said, snapping open her fan. "I'm here for the shards. Get the demon. I have the girl."
What happened next was too fast for Hāmonī to comprehend. One minute they were all standing there staring at the woman, the next gusts of wind had sent Kagome whirling into the air until the woman caught her and sped away through the air.
Chiki had come up behind Koga and knocked him out with a swift punch to the face.Hāmonī stared at her uncomprehendingly. Chiki... was betraying them? It couldn't be...
Hāmonī came to her wits to see Chiki dragging Koga away. With a flying leap Hāmonī landed close enough to grab Koga's trailing hand, and was dragged along with them. "Chiki, why?" she asked the girl, and Hāmonī thought she saw a flicker of regret in the girls eyes. "I'm sorry..." she said softly "But I need to do this."
Hāmonī gritted her teeth. Only one thing to do now. She sent her energy pulsing over Koga, wrapping him in golden light, shielding him.
The release of energy was so fast the she felt immediately exhausted. Her grip on Koga lessened, and she fell limply to the ground. Her eyelids were so heavy, but...
"Gotta stay awake," she murmured "For Koga's sake. Gotta..." she was too tired to speak. She just lay there, staring at the sky as Kagome and Koga were dragged farther away.
She didn't know how long she'd lied there, only stubbornness and willpower keeping her eyes open. She had to stay awake, or they would get the jewels...
She needed a plan. She needed her strength back. If she couldn't get it by sleeping, she had to get it by eating. But she could barely move...
Slowly, she tried to lift herself into a sitting position. Stars exploded across her vision, but she managed to sit up. She sat there, looking around. Chiki had dragged her farther than she thought. She was miles away from the castle, and was laying on a barren empty plain. She didn't know where her group or Inuyasha's was, but she hoped they were okay.
Suddenly, an idea popped into her head. Tilting her head to the sky, she swallowed and called "Arashi Windwalker, we need your help!" She sat there waiting, trying to slowly move to the distant tree line, before she saw four flying blobs in the distance. She waved her arms, and they headed toward her.
Arashi was the first to land, folding her dark wings carefully behind her back. The three exceeds they had met earlier landed soon after, their wings disappearing. Arashi grinned, holding out her hand "Well you look a total mess. You called?" Hāmonī accepted the hand with a grin. "I did. Why are those exceeds with you?"
Arashi shrugged. "They just came along. They said something about trying to find a way out of this dimension. But that's beside the point. What happened to you?"
Hāmonī smiled weakly. "I'll tell you over some food."
