Hāmonī, Inuyasha's Sister ( inuyasha fanfic)

Chapter 16: Reunion

This was going to be tricky.

Inuyasha and crew were walking on a very wide road, hard to surprise them. Hāmonī supposed she could just walk over, but the group might attack them. Plus, she wanted to have her dramatic entrance.

She carefully lifted her head, scanning the companions. They all seemed preoccupied with something... Except for the girl. Kikyo's reincarnation. She was look around with a frown on her face.

Hāmonī twitched her ears at a sound. That would be the distraction.

Yuri came plodding down the path, basket with Minto in hand. She stopped a few feet from Inuyasha's group, in a very good impression of shock. "A demon!" she screeched, and carefully tripped on a root, sprawling in the path.

Kagome and Miroku rushed up to the trembling girl, consoling her. Hāmonī nodded to Kiyōna and Akihiko. Kiyōna sent out a subtle vine, quickly wrapping up Shippo without a squeak and slipping him into the forest.  Akihiko invisibly snuck up to Sango, waiting for the right moment.

Yuri was continuing her act, keeping the attention on her. Miroku was soothing her while Sango stood nearby, arms crossed, Kirara leaping off her shoulder to inspect the girl. Inuyasha was grumpily eating some food nearby. What were they? Noodles? Anyway, Kagome had headed back to her bag to grab medical supplies for Yuri's skinned knee.

Hāmonī gave another nod to Kiyōna, who quickly wrapped up Kagome in a vine, bringing her back to the trees. Sango noticed this, and attempted to cry out before Akihiko wrapped an invisible hand around her mouth, with his other hand securing her wrists.

With that Hāmonī gave a final nod to Yuri, who jumped to her feet and tackled Miroku, holding him still. Minto jumped, changing form, and landed on Kirara, holding her still with a paw. Inuyasha got to his feet in alarm. Growling with fury, he advanced on Yuri. Hāmonī leapt gracefully from the trees, landing in front of her brother.

"Hello, brother. Remember me?"

"And you couldn't have done this without attacking us?" Inuyasha said moodily. The were walking along the road with both of their groups. They were getting to know each other well. Hāmonī glanced back. Yuri, Kiyōna, and Shippo were talking, no doubt about Kiyōna's terrible brothers. Akihiko was talking to Miroku and Sango, trying to explain his invisibility. Minto and Kirara were talking in cat, so Hāmonī had no clue what they were talking about.

  Hāmonī gave a slight grin at Inuyasha's question, and said innocently "Well... we didn't want you guys to accidentally attack us..." Inuyasha gave her a you-honestly-think-I-was-going-to-believe-you look and said "Hāmonī. I know you. You just wanted a dramatic entrance."

Hāmonī gave a smirk and said mock despairingly "Ah, you know me too well." Inuyasha responded by scooping her up into a huge hug. "I missed you." he said softly. She smiled, and felt tears gathhering at the corners of her eyes. "I missed you too." she replied "Oh!" she gasped, pulling away from him. "I just remembered. I have a shard for you." she handed him the shard she had gotten from Sesshōmaru. "Thanks," he said, tucking it into his robes.

Sango broke off from her conversation with Miroku and Akihiko to say to Kagome, who hadn't said much "What's the matter Kagome? You've been so quiet." Kagome glanced at Sango, a slight frown on her face "Hmmmm..." Kagome replied slowly "It's very slight, but I can sense a sacred jewel fragment."

 Hāmonī looked back curiously "Is it this one?" she said, pointing at the one in Inuyasha's robe. Kagome shook her head. "No." Inuyasha perked up "Which direction?" Kagome pointed, and they all sprinted toward it.

Now, after 15 chapters, Hāmonī finally meets her brother again.
