Chapter 4

Emma and Graham slowly release from their kiss and look deeply into each others eyes.

"That was nice." Graham said putting Emma's hair behind her ear.

"Ya." Emma says.

"Do you want to go to dinner with me tomorrow." Graham asked.

"Ya, that would be nice." Emma said smiling at him.

"Ok, I'll pick you up at 6:00 tomorrow." Graham said.

Emma continued to smile at Graham. She thought, Yes!

Graham leaned in and kissed Emma again.

They released from their kiss and Graham stood up. Emma stood up with him. All of the sudden Emma heard Killian slam one of his desk drawers close.

Emma and Graham looked over at Killian. Killian was just standing there staring at them. Emma quickly took her hands off of Graham's chest. Graham looked at Killian with a puzzled look then ignored him.

Graham looked back at Emma and said, "You better finish those papers on your desk. I took care of most of them."

Emma looked over at her desk and saw there was only about 11 left.

She turned back to Graham and said with a smile, "Thanks Graham."

She kissed him lightly on the cheek and walked over to her desk.

She finished the papers and looked up at the clock. It read 5:11pm. Emma got up from her desk and grabbed her keys.

She walked over to Graham's desk and said, "See you tomorrow."

She gave him a light kiss and walked over to Killian's desk.

"I'll drive you to Granny's so you can get your car." Emma said.

Killian looked up from his desk and said, "Thanks."

They both walked out of the station and got into Emma's bug. Emma started the car and drove to Granny's.

When she got to Granny's she parked the car and waited for Killian to get out of the car.

Instead Killian looked at her and said, "So... You and Graham."

Emma looked down and said, "Ya."

After a while Killian didn't say anything so Emma looked up. Killian was just staring at her. She could tell that Killian was hurting inside.

"I'll see you tomorrow." Killian said looking down and opening the door to get out.

Once Killian was out of the car he shut the door and walked over to his car.

Emma started the car and drove to her apartment. The whole way to the apartment she was thinking, I feel so bad for Killian.... But I love Graham. He's just going to have to deal with the fact that I will never be with him.

Emma got to her apartment and parked her car. She walked into her apartment and put her coat on the coat rack and her keys on the counter. She looked over at the clock and it read 5:59. She walked into the kitchen and made herself a hot pocket and ate it. She then walked over to her laptop and got on it. She was looking at her emails. She realised that all of her emails were just shopping coupons and deleted them all. She didn't like to go shopping that much. She shut her laptop down and walked into her laundry room. She put a load of laundry in and folded the ones that were in the dryer. By the time she was done she looked at the clock and it read 7:12pm. She decided to text Mary about her and Graham.

Emma -Hey!

Mary -What's up!

Emma -Graham and I are going on a date tomorrow!!!

Mary -Yes!! I knew you liked him!

Emma -Ya

Mary - I hope you have a good time. 😏

Emma -I hope. 😏

Mary -I got to go. Sorry, David is complaining about the TV.

Emma -It's ok, talk to you later.

Emma realized that Graham texted her.

Graham - Hey, Babe.

Emma -Hey.

Graham -How are you doing?

Emma -Good. You?

Graham -Good. I can't wait to see you tomorrow.

Emma -Me either.

Graham - It's 8:01, I'm going to go to bed.

Emma -Me, too.

Graham -I love you.

Emma looked at the last text and thought for a moment.

I don't know if I love him yet.

She didn't text Graham back. Instead she got up and started getting ready for bed. When she was all ready for bed she set her alarm and went to sleep thinking about tomorrow.
