Chapter 28

Emma woke up to the shower running. She looked to the side of her and no one was there. She realized Killian was in the shower. She then looked at the clock and it read 6:09am. She got up from her bed and walked into the living room and sat down on the couch. She grabbed her phone and saw a missed call from a number she didn't recognize. She called the number back confused. On the second ring a lady picked up.

"Hello, Emma Swan?" she asked.

"Yes, this is Emma Swan?" Emma said still confused.

"Hello, I'm Lacy Humbert. I'm Graham Humbert's mother."

There was a long silence intill Emma finally spoke up.

"Um, yes?"

"I know what happened. I know that you were close to him also. We were going to schedule his funeral in Storybrooke and have it sometime soon." Lacy said obviously holding back sobs. "I was just wondering if you could help me plan it."

"Ya, umm...Is there anyone else planning?" Emma said now with tears slowly running down her face.

"Umm, no. That's why I called you. I got your phone number through Graham's phone. I was going to have David help me but he's sick and Graham's dad isn't with us anymore."

"Oh, okay. Where do you live?" Emma said trying to hold back her sobs.

"I live about an hour away from Storybrooke in a Pinny, Maine."

"I could come out and talk to you. When do you want me to, umm, come out."

"Umm, you can come out today. If you don't have anything planned."

"I'll come out today. What time would you like to meet?"

"Anytime is okay with me."

"I'll be in Pinny around 9:00am, if your okay with that."

"That would be splendid. Thank you so much. I need someone to talk to about this whole thing."

"I do too. What's your address?"

"525 Steward Dr., Pinny, Maine."

"Ok, I'll see you at 9 Ms. Humbert."

"I'll see you soon, Emma. Thank you see much for all of this."

"No, thank you."

"I'll see you soon."

"Ok, bye." Emma said and then hung up.

Emma looked up from her the ground and Killian was standing there.

"What's wrong, Swan?" Killian said seeing Emma crying.

Emma wiped away some of her tears and said, "Oh, I'm fine. It's just Graham's mom wants me to help with his funeral. I said I would be in Pinny, Maine at 9."

"Thats great." Killian said sitting next to Emma on the couch.

"I know, it's just...I don't know if I can emotional do it."

"Emma. This is actually one of the best things to do. If you do this you can accept that he's dead." Killian said carefully.

"Maybe your right." Emma said as more tears came flooding down her face.

Killian wrapped his arm around Emma and rubbed her arm. Emma wiped her tears away and sniffed.

"Happy Birthday, Love." Killian whispered to her.

Emma looked at Killian and smiled. Killian quickly looked down and then looked back at Emma. Emma looked down and saw a little box. Killian opened it and Emma saw a pair of diamond earrings. She looked up at Killian and he had a huge smile on his face. Emma smiled from ear to ear and kissed Killian. Killian grabbed Emma's face and fell into the kiss.

When they both released Emma said, "Thank you so much, Killian."

"Your welcome, Love."

Emma kissed Killian again and then got up from the couch.

"I'm going to take a shower." Emma said.

Killian nodded as Emma walked into the bedroom and then into the bathroom. She pulled her bandages off and looked at her arms. Her arms looked way better then they did before. She then started the shower and got in. When she finished she grabbed a towel and wrapped it around herself. She walked into her bedroom and got into her closet. She grabbed out a red top and a pair of jeans. She got dressed then walked into the kitchen, where Killian was. She walked over to Killian and stood next to him while he was making scrambled eggs. She put her head on his arm and closed her eyes. She quickly realized her hair was wet and took her head off of his arm. She looked at Killian's arm and it was soaked.

"Ummm, Sorry." Emma said laughing. Killian laughed too and shrugged it off. Emma then walked into her bedroom and then her bathroom and grabbed a brush. She brushed her hair and then grabbed a blow dryer. She blow dried her hair and then grabbed her curler. She curled her hair carefully, trying not to burn herself. When she was done she grabbed her makeup out and started with it. She put foundation, mascara, and then eyeliner on. When she finished she walked into her bedroom and over to her jewelry box. She grabbed out the necklace from Graham, the shoelace, and the earrings Killian placed in there. She put them all on and walked back into the kitchen. Killian was putting the eggs on plates when she walked in the kitchen. He put the plates on the table and sat down with Emma. They both ate and then Killian grabbed the plates. He walked over to the sink and began to wash them. Emma walked into the bathroom and brushed her teeth. She then checked the time and the clock read 7:50am. Emma walked into the kitchen to Killian. "I'm heading to Pinny."

"Ok let's go." Killian said.

"Umm, no. Can I just go. By myself." Emma said trying not to hurt Killian's feelings.

"Ya, ok. Just be careful, please." Killian said understanding.

"I will. Bye, Killy." Emma said leaving a kiss on his cheek.

"Killy?" Killian said laughing.

"What? You call me Swan and Love. I'm calling you Killy." Emma said laughing, too.

Killian laughed and shook his head. Emma grabbed her keys and her blue leather jacket and walked out of the apartment. She got in her car and typed in the address in her phone. When everything was set she started on her way to Pinny.
